3.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME !!! well, it was......
I have found this to be very bright, very compact and love using it so far. Having magnets was a great idea. I stuck it to the ceiling of a metal fireplace while cleaning and then drilling holes to run an LP gas line.. Then used it in an attic of an old business that was huge and had many different areas.. I'm a buyer (among other things) for a mid-size printing facility and needed a better light solution for press cleanup in power outages. I found these and thought they looked cool, so I bought four of them. Well, they came in today, and everyone likes them so much (bright, different configuration possibilities, strong magnets plus a hook, rechargeable), I had to order three more for different areas in the shop, in addition to emailing the link so employees could purchase them for personal use. Feels very well-built, and if the battery lasts the two hours that they claim, this is an all-around winner!

EDIT - since the initial review we've put these to the test in an industrial environment, and they haven't let any of us down. Also, we decided to test the battery life to see just how long we'd get out of a full charge. Individual LEDs started to give out after FIVE HOURS of continuous power. Fantastic.

In my job I work in a lot of poorly lit spaces, specifically crawl spaces. Originally I was just going to buy an ordinary drop light until I saw an add for this light in either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics. Anyway I did some research on the product and most owners were pleased with it so I decided to buy one for myself. For a drop light the price is a bit steep, $42.00 plus $7.00 for shipping. But for what this light can do it was worth the price.

The first crawl space I went into I turned the light on and it lit up the majority of the crawl space. I thought to myself maybe because it's mid-day some light is seeping into the crawl space. I turned the light off and I couldn't see more than a few inches in front of my face. That day I ran the light for 45 minutes to an hour off the internal battery and never did the light dim, it just kept on going. Since then I have used it several times and it has always come through. The magnetic back and hook are especially handy when you want light to shine at a specific area. When it comes to charging I always use the DC charger. My work van has DC lighter sockets that always get power even when the engine is off. So I ran the cable from the front, past the passenger seat, and through a hole in the bulkhead in my van to the rear of my van. I use the magnetic back to stick it to one of the walls and it stays constantly charged, ready to go whenever I need it.

The only thing this product really could use is a dimmer switch. It produces so much light that a dimmer switch would allow to use only the amount of light you need so you can get more run time out of the batter. Never the less I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a cordless drop-light.

3.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME !!! well, it was......, August 29, 2010
This review is from: Cooper Lighting Might-D-Light LED130 80 LED Rechargeable Folding Worklight (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have found this to be very bright, very compact and love using it so far. Having magnets was a great idea. I stuck it to the ceiling of a metal fireplace while cleaning and then drilling holes to run an LP gas line.. Then used it in an attic of an old business that was huge and had many different areas.. It clearly and brightly showed my way to a leak in the roof i was looking for ! Cant wait to use it doing automotive projects as it will get into places my big fluorescent work lites wont !

UPDATE... After using a few times, it seems that it only stays very bright for a VERY SHORT TIME... Then it LOSES its power giving very little light ! Too bad. I hope you dont have this problem !

I wanted an emergency light to carry in my work van. Something that would always be there if I ever needed it. After getting this light everything seemed fine but the directions did not mention anything about being able to keep this thing plugged in so it would always be ready. So I called the Cooper tech support and asked them. They said NO you cannot leave it plugged in (unlike some other lights). Once it is completely charged up it has to be disconnected and once this is done it will slowly start to discharge. How long it will last will then depend upon on how much of a charge it still has left. In an emergency it might last only 10 or 15 minutes. Maybe not at all.
Consider the Bayco SLR-2166 it cost the same, produces almost the same amount of light, AND you can leave it plugged in and always keep it FULLY CHARGED.
In an emergency it will be there the Might D Light will not.

This product has so many uses but I bought it for snowmobiling trailer to work on the sleds. I also use it while working on my vehicles and anywhere around the house. It's bright and lasts a long time. I even use it when I go fishing, to have light to clean fish by. I think it's great and love it!

This review is from: Cooper Lighting Might-D-Light LED130 80 LED Rechargeable Folding Worklight (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've bought 2 of these lights recently and have used them on several occasions. I am impressed with the amount of light they put out and like the magnetic back. Just a note....I found mine at Lowe's for $26.99 + tax.

This is a great item to have in your home, garage, car,This is great in an emergency

no lights since it is magnetic you can stick it on your fridge or a metal work cabinet.

The light is really bright. you could hang it under your sink to work there or stick it on your

car hood works there. or use it to change your tire it will stand alone. I have it in my kitchen.

But when I go on vacation I will put it in my car.

I love this product. only one caveat you cannot put new rechargeable batteries in it.

shipping was fast packed well

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great work light, February 11, 2010

This review is from: Cooper Lighting Might-D-Light LED130 80 LED Rechargeable Folding Worklight (Tools & Home Improvement)
Every thing about this worklight is a winner. The fact that it is rechargeable is one thing, the fact that you have the option of car or home charging is another.
It is very bright and extremely portable.
The led lights are cool to touch so you can keep it close to the work and the charge last quite a while.
Hanging, setting on an object or stuck to an object with its magnetic back make this, a well thought out and versatile work light.
There is nothing not to like about this light.
If a person gives this worklight a bad review, look at their other reviews, they are probably nit pickers who are very hard to please.
This is a solid, well weighted, sturdy, adjustable work light.
Buy this one.

My very picky, critical Dad really liked this light. He was very happy with the way it charges with the car charger. He liked it so much he's convinced my sister she needs one (I bought one for myself when I got his).

5.0 out of 5 stars great for electrician replacing service panel, August 5, 2010
This review is from: Cooper Lighting Might-D-Light LED130 80 LED Rechargeable Folding Worklight (Tools & Home Improvement)
Used two of these lights during a recent replacement of a service panel located in an interior room with no windows or other natural light. They provided excellent light for over 3 hours - long enough to get the new panel in, replace the meter, and hook up temp lighting to complete the job. I highly recommend these lights.
