I am a teacher. I found this book very easy to read. The coverage was comprehensive and well-organsied. The content was informative and useful. This is the best textbook regarding students' behaviour problems I ever read. I borrowed this book from library. Now, I would like to buy it. It is a good reference for teachers.

I read this book one summer after 3 years of teaching. The next school year, after applying many of the skills I learned in this book, I built a wonderful rapport with my students and have been doing so ever since. This book teaches you the "psychology" of most of your students and gives you cues on how to respond. Can be applied to all grade levels.

Linda Albert's Cooperative Discipline (Albert, 1996) is the primary framework of my classroom management protocol. Albert's focus on building a collaborative classroom environment is a proven strategy for minimizing misbehavior in the classroom, with the added benefit of modeling interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution strategies for students of all ages. Linda Albert's Cooperative Discipline classroom management strategy helps students create a safe and supportive classroom environment wherein they can be self-confident, mutually supportive, and enthusiastic about learning each and every day.

This book is a "must have" for teachers and school counselors. Ideas in it are effective from the get go. And, the background info based on Adler and Dreikurs about why children choose certain behaviors is well put together, easy to digest and follow. We were required to use it for a consultation class in my school counseling grad program, but the book is great for teachers or anyone else who works with children--and parents could benefit, too, even though it's written from a school perspective.

This is a great book to use. The approaches uses the techniques from Adlerian concepts as well as reality therapy and REBT. It is used for techniques in the classroom. Eassy reading like a workbook and inexpensive. Great Job Linda. Looking fiward to your next addition
