I received my first set of Copags from a college friend in Brazil about 7 years ago (bridge style, Mandala design)and used them constantly for home Hold'em tournaments. The plastic cards take a bit of getting used to, they slide much faster than paper cards. I still have and will use my Mandalas, but I've noticed some cosmetic wear to the extent they don't look as nice as the first several years.
The bridge size is definitely recommended over the poker. Bridge size is what you will find in most casino card rooms. Poker size is noticeably wider as you play and is somewhat more cumbersome.
About the cards themselves. I like the bridge size (narrower) jumbo index (larger card identifier in the corners) and these cards look great... on both sides of the cards. I bought many of these decks (others will have this same review as the cards themselves are the same but with different artwork) and have had no problems with any of them in either appearance or performance. I expect these cards to last many many years and uses.
First, quality. They are ALL PLASTIC and not plastic coated paper cards as are so many cheaper cards.
Second, of all the large register bridge cards I have tried, these have the clearest and largest side suit markers and numbers, which is what is most important for a sight impaired person. When new the cards are very slippery and therefore require care in shuffling and dealing; however, within about 10 deals or so, they wear in beautifully, and as finger oils and other particles coat the surface the playability and friction of the cards increases to perfection.
Third, durability. After several months of play the cards look and feel as good as new.
Conclusion: Easy on the eyes and well worth the money, whether for heavy duty club play or for grandma once a week at home.

A little slippery and difficult to pick up on some surfaces. But it won't stop me from using them at play.Published on August 7, 2013 by C. Resko
