3.0 out of 5 stars Not too good for play, but nice as a souvenier.
The cards arent are not jet black in color, they are a pale black so to speak. Also, the artwork is such that telling the difference between the suits is a bit of a problem.

I bought these because of the design. I don't play bridge, but thought I would try them out. I like the design, but they really seem thin. I'm not talking about the width... I know bridge cards are smaller than Poker cards. I'm referring to the weight of the card (thickness). They seem very flimsy compared to other Copag's. Other than that, they are fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, but, December 16, 2007
Came on time, was nicely wrapped and was in perfect condition. But one thing to keep in mind is that the the colors arent as vibrant as in the picture, its not really a problem, but more of a disappointment. Still 5 stars

The COPOAG Epoc Plastic Playing Cards were a excellect purchase for my games out here in Iraq. They shuffle excellent and fell so great in your hands when you shuffle them. Once you use them you will NEVER want to deal with any other cards again. Only bad thing is the black cards tends to wear down little by little over time. that's why I gave them a 4.5 out od 5.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good as a novelty item..., August 7, 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
...but not so good for actual use. It's hard to tell the value of the card if you can't read the numbers in the upper left/lower right corners of the card. With standard cards you can count the number of hearts/spades/diamonds/clubs in the center of the card even if you can't read the number in the corners of the card clearly. With these cards the non-face cards all look like aces if you can't see the value of the card in the corners. For example, 2-10 of clubs all have a big white club in the center with little black clubs on the large, white center club. The ace of clubs has the same white club in the center of the card with one small black club on the white club. It's hard to see the little black clubs so from a distance, or if you have bad eyesight, they all look like the ace of clubs.

They look cool and I like Copags, but I don't recommend this particular set for any serious play.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sleek Slick Black Cards, May 12, 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
These cards are very cool, they're black, durable, it takes a little getting used to because the cards are different then the traditional playing cards, but they are very cool and fun to play with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Copags ever, February 2, 2007
These are great cards. They handle better than conventional Copags as they're a bit thicker. There's a bit of a grainy rather than super-smooth (slick) feel so no top card slide with them either. They are flexible and shuffle well too.

As to the other comments relative to their unique color - well, that's part of what makes this setup special. These are gorgeous cards. I've found that if lighting is adequate there are no complaints as to difficulty reading the cards. When lighting is so-so, I use a different setup.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sorry, KEM, January 8, 2007

I have been playing with a set of KEMs in my chips case and got these to go with my new poker tabletop. Qualitywise, they play the same. The missing star is for the artsy design. I chose these for the backs, but the black fronts of the cards can get distracting. Excellent value for the price, especially if you've already been spoiled by KEMs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dark Cards, January 3, 2007

These cards have some great flair, however, I found them hard to read and tell between suits. I've since gone back to regular white backed cards.
