We have a family poker game pretty regularly and I've been supplying all the cards. We go through decks like socks so it gets expensive. I finally decided to give the plastic playing cards a try. They are expensive compared to regular decks but in the long run, I think they are well worth the money. This set comes in a nice black plastic tray with a lid and two decks inside (blue and red). The first thing I noticed is that the cards feel much thinner than what we're used to. However, they are very easy to shuffle and handle. After a few months of use I'm happy to say that I will NOT be switching back to regular cards! These plastic decks have held up great. They don't show any signs of wear yet, and no marks or bends so far. It took some getting used to but now everyone likes them. The hardest part was getting used to the thinner feel of the cards. However, once you get past that, you really appreciate how nice they are to play with. Other than that, these cards are great and the price is right (~15 bucks for 2 decks). That is almost 5 bucks less than comparable decks from KEM and others. I highly recommend these cards if you haven't switched to plastic cards yet, they are worth every penny! UPDATE June 2011: Still using these cards and they have held up great. Our game is twice a month lately but these cards are used every time. It didn't take long for everyone to get used to these cards and I haven't bought a regular deck since I got them. In fact, I bought another set of these in black and gold so we can play on two tables now. You may find that a card can get a fold or bend in it if someone abuses it. I've had this happen, but not too bad. The cards will actually straighten out over time. Also, someone told me you can apply heat to the cards to take out folds or bends (like iron them, but not too hot). I'm seeing a tiny bit of color fading on some of the cards, from the friction of use. However, they are still in perfect playable condition. So I still highly recommend these cards and think they are well worth the cost! UPDATE July 29 2011: I wrote Copaq an email asking about replacing some bent cards. They provided information on how to replace the damaged cards (you need to specify which style, color, size, and cards are damaged). I don't think there is a charge for this but I am not sure. I'll write an update when I find out. By the way, make sure you keep the Guaranty Card that comes with every deck! It is required for getting replacement cards. UPDATE August 22 2011: There is no charge for replacement cards! It is great to know that these cards are backed up by an awesome replacement policy. However, customer service at Copaq is fairly unresponsive. It took several emails and resends (resend the email after no response for many days) before I finally got them to mail me the replacement cards. I needed three cards out of one my decks and they sent all three without questions. I can say that I still highly recommend these cards. The fact that you can contact Copaq and get replacements for damaged cards makes them an even better deal!

I think these are some really good cards but I don't feel they are as good as the Gemaco's. I bought these to try them out after hearing so much about them. I am happy with them but they didn't surpass my Gemaco's. The Gemaco's have a thicker easier to handle feel and seem to deal better. They cost a little more but are well worth it.
