5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Kems
First let me say that we used Kem cards in our club exclusively, however, the last few decks were so bad that we decided to try Copags. Lucky for us, as these cards are much better. No problems with the cards. No defects (Kem had 4 of 4 decks bad). If you play regularly you need to use these cards. They are washable, almost impossible to ruin (with normal use), and they...

3.0 out of 5 stars white spots
I have the Pinnacle decks 1 red and 1 blue(set) The printing is a little washed out, which I understand with plastic. I have been using them for about a year, 4 games a day, there is 1 card in each deck that have 2 1/8 inch diameter white spots on 1 of the Ace of spades making it a marked card. Curiously its the same card in the red and blue deck 1 only the other is...

No problems with the cards. No defects (Kem had 4 of 4 decks bad). If you play regularly you need to use these cards. They are washable, almost impossible to ruin (with normal use), and they feel brand new for a long, long, long time. Once you use these cards you will never go back to regular decks. If you only play once in a while, then the cost of the cards may not be justified, but the feel, slide, etc., is so far superior to regular decks that you will be glad you bought them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Copag 100% Plastic = 100% Great!, March 8, 2007

Have been playing with these cards for about a month now and love them. They feel exactly like they felt when I took them out of the box. I'm a big Texas Hold 'Em player and there's nothing worse then playing with old worn out cards. Other than losing I guess ;)

The price was just right. You won't need to purchase another set for quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are the only cards I'll use anymore, December 29, 2009

I have regular get togethers with my friends to play poker, and we used to go through a red and blue deck of regular Bicycle playing cards every couple games because inevitably a card would get marked by either getting bent (creased or warped), liquids spilled on a card, or scratched. With these Copag cards you can use them for years with normal use before needing replaced. Liquids are easily wiped off, pulling the cards up to look at them doesn't warp them, and it's very VERY hard to actually crease these cards.

The only issue I've had with these cards is if you're not playing on a felt surface (i.e. a smooth surface like most tables) they are very slick, so while dealing you have to be careful not to slide them off the edge of the table.

I love these cards and these are the only brand cards I'll buy from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Copags > KEMs, August 7, 2007
Love these cards. Super durable, moreso than KEMs. We used to play poker with KEMs and Copags and left both sets of cards in a non-air conditioned room for a week, out of direct sunlight. The KEMs looked like potato chips. The Copags were fine. As long as you don't forget your cards in a hot room for a week, then KEMs are fine, but my preference is Copag especially given the lower price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Copag makes some of the best consumer plastic playing cards, July 30, 2011

I have several sets of plastic playing cards (Kem, Copag, Da Vinci, Modiano, etc). Whenever someone asks me which brand of plastic cards they should buy, I tell them to buy Copag. All plastic cards have their pros and cons, but IMHO Copag offers an overall great product.

QUALITY: All four of the brands of plastic cards mentioned above, make great quality plastic cards. Although I should mention that I have a thirty year old set of Kem cards. But the last three sets of Kem's I bought makes me seriously wonder about Kem's quality control these days (that's a whole other review).

VARIETY: When it comes to choices of sizes (poker/bridge, regular/jumbo) and backs (designs/colors), Copag and Kem offer a large variety of choices, which makes it easy to find a set that fits your needs. FYI, about 95% of poker rooms in the U.S. use bridge size cards with a regular index.

PACKAGING: A hard shell plastic case comes standard with all Copag and Kem cards. The Da Vinci and Modiano cards come in a cardboard box with a plastic tray, unless they specifically say it comes with a hard shell case. I like having a hard shell case for the extra protection, taking them to poker night at someone else's house, and because it'll last longer than a cardboard box. I also like the fact that the lid on the Copag hard shell case fits snug, compared to the lose fit of the Kem and Da Vinci plastic cases.

PRICE: I think all the brands above are reasonably priced compared to how long they will last vs paper cards. So you might as well just go with the brand that has the best price. That's another reason I lean towards Copag's over Kem's.

HANDLING: Plastic cards do handle differently than paper cards. As far as plastic cards go, some brands are a little thicker than others. Which may make them fill a little stiffer. Nothing wrong with either one, some people may just have a personal preference. A deck of Copag and Kem's are about the same thickness, while the Modiano decks are about 3 cards thicker, the Da Vinci Ruote are about 2 cards thicker, and the Da Vinci Club Casino are about 4 cards thicker.

AESTHETICS: I had to throw this in here because some people like to nit-pick over the aesthetics of plastic cards. Fonts, colors, face card paint, backs, etc. Why didn't I ever notice this stuff before? Oh yeah, I was busy concentrating on the game :) Unless you're holding the different brands of cards side-by-side, you're really not going to notice the differences...they're just cards.

To sum it all up: What size cards do you want, poker or bridge? What size index do you want regular or jumbo? Good, now search amazon for "Copag", pick a back design/color you like and order it. Or better yet, order two sets and get free shipping :) OK, seriously, you'll be happy with any of the brands I mentioned (unless you get defective cards, grrrr Kem). I just think Copag has a little bit better bang-for-the-buck overall, and that's why I usually recommend them to anyone that asks.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome deck, November 30, 2009

I have had no issues whatsoever with copag playing cards. The cards stay straight while being stored away. The best thing that I liked about them is the fact that I can easily shuffle them, they are very flexible but yet excellent material to last for years. I could not find anything better

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cards, May 2, 2009

Almost six months since i got them. We play with them almost daily and they are still as good as new. We used to buy 2 new decks every a few weeks so we are saving tons of money on plastic/paper decks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Professional Dealer and I Love these Cards, May 6, 2011
This review is from: Copag Poker Size Regular Index 1546 Playing Cards (Sports)
I'm a professional dealer and I love these cards. Copag cards have a great memory for staying in the origial shape. Kem how ever will warp or keep finger nail impressions in them for ever. After dealing approx. 300 hands, they will pick up hand oils and other things to make them less slick (dirty) for dealers. So it is hard to shuffle at a good speed (shuffle - shuffle - strip - shuffle) this is the standard for dealers in most casino's. You should be able to do this in 10 seconds or less. But, when you have to slow down because the cards are dirty, all you have to do with Copag cards is wash them and they are like new. Just use cold water in a bowl with a couple drops of dove liquid soap. Wash each card one at a time, dry them with a soft towel and spread them on a table for about an hour to air dry. You have new cards again. It only takes about 10 minutes to do this, but the difference is worth the effort. I have many decks of Copag cards, but, I have one deck that I have dealt over 5,000 hands with and they are still like new. Try that with plastic coated paper. Plastic coated paper cards will cost you about $2.50 a deck and only last about 200 hands, you do the math.
