The color in the photo is a bit lighter, brighter than the actual kettle which is a darker blue. The handle is smooth and comfortable but not heat-resistant (which the accompanying paperwork admits and suggests using something like a potholder when handling it). The whistle can be heard from a couple rooms away so you don't have to babysit it.

I read the other person's review in which she mentioned rusting in the first week or so of use. I have had this kettle for over a month now and I use it often and it has not rusted, HOWEVER, I follow the directions it came with which clearly state to empty it completely every time you're done with it or it could rust. So, just make sure you don't leave water sitting in it when you're not planning on using it and it should be fine.

Add-on Review: It's now 6 years later, I'm still using it. It's never rusted on me as the other reviewers claimed, you just have to remember not to leave water in it overnight. I HAVE forgotten it overnight a couple times but still have no rust. Great product at a great price!

Kettle looks good, but inside quality is not good. First time I boiled water in it rust spot came out in it kettle cover. I used this kettle for 10 days after kettle enamble is taking out. I try to boiled water in it inside enamble taking out every time after 10 days. I had a bad experiences with this kettle.

Good solid tea kettle, handle real nice and cool when the water is hot. Arrived on-time.

The two things I like about this little red tea pot are its color and style. The things I don't like are its cheap tin top-cover and the paint quality. Right out of the box I noticed an obvious spot where the paint doesn't fully cover the enamel. Plus, there are little bumps or bubbles in the paint on the bottom of the pot. I don't consider this a quality product and would return it but don't want the bother. I certainly don't recommend this tea pot!

This is my third Copco kettle in 12 years. Before buying it, I read reviews of many different brands and models, but decided to stick with this one. It has a basic design and does the job. When my blue one came in, it did not whistle when the water boiled. Then I noticed that the lid has some flaps that needed to be adjusted and it took care of the problem. Yes, I recommend it!

I've owned this for at least two years - it is really nice! I highly recommend! Beautiful and tough - easy to clean.

The style of the tea kettle is absolutely beautiful. The red color is very eye catching. It matches my kitchen just perfect. It boils water quickly. My girlfriend came over and complimented it so much I bought her just like it but in black. Anyone will be very satisfied with this tea kettle.

All kettles obviously do about the same thing. But this one looks so cute sitting on the stove .I love it.

This kettle answers all my needs and looks just great on my range. Love it, love it!
