This is the third brand of carafe I've owned. The first two were other brands that proved problematic--one had a leak inside which led to mildew; the other was accidentally dropped and the inner glass liner shattered. Third time is a charm in this case. I've had this Copco carafe for over a year and half now and its still performing beautifully! It keeps my tea HOT for as long as 10 hours. The screw-top cap can be twisted open slightly to pour without having to remove the entire cap. There is a suction plunger button on the top of the lid which will suck out any air and keep you beverage hot and fresh even longer.
I've bumped the carafe around in the sink and the inner glass liner seems to be very sturdy and not prone to shattering easily. I bought a baby-bottle cleaning brush to clean the inside and it works really well, one swish with soapy water and its as good as new. Since this is made of white plastic, over time the mouth and cap will have some tea/coffee stains in the grooves. About once every two months I spray the mouth and lid with Clorox Clean-Up Spray with Bleach...leave it on for about 10 seconds...then wash well in hot soapy water--Voila! Stains are gone. As with all carafes, do not unscrew the bottom and DO NOT SUBMERGE THE ENTIRE THING IN WATER or water will enter the inner unit and ruin it. Spot clean the exterior only as needed.

UPDATE: After two and a half years this carafe finally gave out... the coating of the inner glass liner started flaking off, and I noticed shimmery little bits of liner appearing in my teacup. Still, for the price I got a solid 2.5 years of use. Just ordered my second Copco carafe!

I do like this product; my only criticism is that the top is hard to put on and take off for one with arthritis as I have. But it does keep the contents hot and is very nice looking.

This carafe is terrific and keeps coffee nice and hot for several hours. I preheat it with hot water but my husband never does and it still keeps the coffee hot. We use it most mornings because usually he makes the coffee and leaves for work 2-3 hours before me. I would definitely recommend buying the carafe - especially considering the price compared to other models.

I purchased this product for a Christmas gift. It didn't cost much; but it wasn't worth the trouble. I had my doubts about the product since it arrived with the bottom part unattached so I decided to keep it for myself. I began using the carafe mid-January and within three weeks the feature on the lid which enables the coffee to pour fell apart. By then it was too late to return. The only good thing about this experience is that I hadn't thrown out my old, stained carafe that I purchased over 25 years ago and still works beautifully. The stains no longer bother me, ha! ha!

p.s. To Amazon, this product does not meet the quality standards that I have come to appreciate when shopping in your store. This product should have -Stars.

Previous to buying this model, I had another Copco model that Amazon no longer sells, and it was great - until it took a tumble. This model must vary widely in how its made to have such a wide range in reviews. Frankly, this is right up there with the worst products I've ever come across. Before I used it the first time, I simply rinsed it out, by hand. Afterward, it was obvious that some of the soapy rinse water was caught inside the carafe. So I took it apart to clean and dry it and put it back together. That became an ongoing, daily chore, right up until I realized it was leaking through the outside, as well. That's when I threw it out, maybe 5 days after I received it. This is one of those rare products I'd rate in negative stars if it was an option.

First one leaked out the bottom. Returned it and got a new one, it does the job. If you preheat the carafe, it'll keep your coffee piping hot for 6 hours. Warm for much longer.

I had been looking for a white coffee carafe for some time and finally decided on the Copco because it had good reviews and an exceptional price. The coffee stays hot for several hours (a nice plus) but the housing leaks like a sieve! I'm disappointed but will have to replace this one again soon... and it certainly won't be a Copco.

I ordered this carafe for my husband who loves hot tea and coffee. Rather than leave the coffee pot on all day or having to reheat each cup in the microwave, we can pour 3/4 of a pot in the carafe in late morning and it is still warm the next day! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that after two weeks of use it leaked. However, after finding a slotted area on the bottom I was able to tighten it and VOILA! no more leaks.

Mine came without the glass inside. I can see by someone else's review that they had the same problem. It was just the plastic outside and when you put liquid in it, since you assume it has the inside, it leaks all over. Amazon promptly refunded my money. Do not buy from these people. They do not check their product before shipping it out.

We owned a couple of these. The first one probably lasted the longest, but it always leaked. (We had to set it on a plate so it wouldn't constantly leak on the counter.) Then the pop-up lid quit popping up, so we had to turn it to open it every time. Then the glass broke, so we bought another one, hoping for the best. The lid quit popping up on the second one after just a month or so, so I wrote to Copco and complained, and they promptly sent another lid. But when that one broke after just a couple of weeks, I knew I had had enough! Bought an Alfi, and it's like night and day. Spending just a little extra money was well worth it. In spite of the excellent customer service, this product is unfortunately not worth buying at any cost.
