5.0 out of 5 stars Great Organizer!, July 31, 2010

I bought this organizer for my flatware and I love it. It fits in my drawer perfectly and has large enough sections to store all my forks, spoons, knives, measuring spoons and large knives. Great construction and love the mesh design as crumbs that fall into the drawer fall through the organizer and into the bottom of the drawer. You won't be sorry you bought this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars upside down, October 11, 2009

it's a utensil organizer. kind of difficult to mess that up. i use it upside down from the way they have it in the picture. i think it makes the shorter, horizontal sections more accessible, and everything else is just as accessible.

the price seems expensive for a mesh, metal, sectioned box, but it's cheaper than other ones i've seen.

For me this is one of those little things that each time I see it I wonder why I didn't get it a long time ago. Love it. I have an older house and the kitchen drawers are long but narrow and this is perfect.

Perfect, just what I needed. I love the idea it allows the debris to fall thru - don't have to remove each individual item to clean. Thanks.!

I got tired of a molded plastic organizer and thought this sounded useful, if a bit upscale. Turns out, it's both. You can orient it with short bins top or bottom which I couldn't do with the molded organizer. Flatware fits however you throw it in, which it didn't with the molded organizer. Finally, lift it out and leave any crumbs in the drawer to wipe with a sponge. Great!

I really like this organizer. I wanted something that would hold every single utensil that I use for eating meals, which for me, means Chinese soup spoons, chopsticks, forks, spoons, knives. That left me still one empty spot where I put my measuring spoons. I was very happy that I could fit every single piece of silverware that I have and that means, for instance, my fork compartment held 8 nice, heavy duty forkss and 8 bleh forks and it probably could hold even more. So I'm happy with my purchase. It was a good value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Six months in, December 19, 2010

This review is from: Copco 2555-7874 Large Mesh 6-Part In-Drawer Utensil Organizer (Kitchen)
I bought this drawer organizer about six months ago to replace a plastic one that was breaking apart. It's perfect and now I'm looking for this and similar items to use in a kitchen we're planning to build. I divided the flatware up into dinner forks, salad forks, regular spoons, soup spoons, all-other-size spoons (iced tea, serving, demi-tasse, etc.), and table knives. Because that leaves extra front-to-back space in the drawer, I put large serving spoons and steak knives crossways in front of the organizer. It works, although I'll plan a different place for the sharp knives in our new space. Only the table knives wouldn't fit in the two crossways sections. I used those two for salad forks and odd-sized spoons, but it doesn't really matter.

Pros: good divisions for useful sorting of flatware, great to be able to remove the entire basket and wipe out any debris at the bottom of the drawer, won't become brittle and break over time like plastic alternatives

Cons: would be nice to have an additional full length crossways section to use up the extra 3-1/2" front-to-back in a standard depth drawer

This is a great, large, well made tray/organizer for your flatware and other items. It seems well made. It's big and will hold a lot. A bit high priced to me and I probably would not have purchased until I read the reviews here...so

Hats off to my fellow reviewers! You guys really helped me on this one -- lots of great tips. I never even thought about the mesh and crumbs angle until it was mentioned here -- that sold me. I hate that with the plastic kind. Also this seems much nicer overall and I needed the extra sections.

Thumbs up -- nice product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stylish Cutlery Organizer, October 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Copco 2555-7874 Large Mesh 6-Part In-Drawer Utensil Organizer (Kitchen)
This cutlery organizer looks great, seems very durable, and I really like that it has 2 short compartments instead of just 1, like most organizers.

It has 2 small shortcomings, however: 1) It slides around in my drawer, just like any organizer I've ever had. I would love to have an organizer that stays put. 2) The dividers have small gaps in places, which results in the knives occasionally sliding into the adjoining compartment. It's not a huge problem, but it can get annoying.

Despite these issues, I think this cutlery organizer is the best one I've ever owned and would definitely recommend it.

I use this organizer sideways in my drawer so that I can reach anything in any of the compartments. It holds a lot! I put some gripper pads under it to keep it from sliding around when we open and close the drawer. The color is a matte pewter color, not a chrome like I was imagining, however the description does say "epoxy finish" so that was my bad.
