Product Description

Alcohol Marker Pad A4 - 50 shts. Scores of anime, manga, and comics artists as well as landscape, product, architecture, and fashion designers prefer Copic markers because of their ultra-blendable, low odor, alcohol based inks. Unlike water-based inks, which tend to pill and oversoak the paper while blending, Copics mix on the surface to deliver the wonderfully rich blends they’re known for. This outstanding performance has distinguished Copic markers as the celebrated coloring tool within professional, semi-professional and hobby circles alike.

While it does not bleed with copic markers the paper is way too thin.

I recently ordered some markers and wanted a bleed proof sketch pad for them. I saw this and couldn't pass it up. The paper is great quality, colors show up nice and vibrant and absolutely nothing leaked through to my other pages. Not to mention it came quickly and in perfect condition. The one con is that the pages come out easy when turned (The paper is meant to be able to be taken out easily it doesn't rip or anything) but i can just put all my finished pieces in a folder so i refuse to lower the rating ;3 I'm very impressed

I bought Copic paper for use with Prismacolor markers since it's an "alcohol marker pad" and like the poor artist I am, I primarily use Prismas hahah. I have to say it holds up better than any paper I've used thus far. I was a bit worried at first considering the thinness of the sheets and most alcohol markers will go through paper that's nearly as thick as cardstock! Luckily, for the most part they don't bleed through. I'd have to agree with the reviewer who said darker Copics are a bit of a problem, as it is the same with Prismas. I only had the darker shades slightly go through to the other side and in areas where I made more concentrated or repeated passes and it was just little tiny dots of evidence. Overall, I am content with this purchase!

This paper, as it says, is for Copic markers. There are a few things you should know about the paper or else you might think otherwise.
One, your colors will show up differently on this paper than on other papers (Believe me, I've tried them all) but that's not a bad thing, the colors are very vibrant and don't fade or soak through like on other papers. But if you plan on doing a lot of shading and/or you go over an area several times with a marker, some of the lighter colors, like the skin colors, will start to look a little strange and blotchy if you use a lot of layers. But most colors will not do that and you can usually go over a color more than once.
Two, THERE IS ONLY ONE SIDE THAT HOLDS THE COLOR, the front of the paper is the part that holds the color, if you try coloring on the back it will be almost like trying to color on plastic. So if you tear a page out of the pad, BE MINDFUL WHICH SIDE IS WHICH so you don't accidentally color on the wrong side!
The last thing that isn't as much of a big deal is that the pages tear out easily, so if you want to keep all your pictures in one book you won't be able to keep them in this.
But overall the paper works very well, doesn't bleed through AT ALL no matter how many times you go over it, and the colors hold pretty well.

With all the good reviews I had high hopes for this pad - perhaps too high.

While it's true that the Copics won't bleed through the pages there is terrible bleed when inking my final lines.

My process is this...

Lightly draw whatever it is I'm drawing with a hard (3H) mechanical pencil.

Ink the lines with Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph 0.25 using Ultradraw black ink.

Allow to dry and gently erase the pencil lines.

Color using Copics.

So far so good, although there is sometimes some pooling of the Copic ink.

Allow the colors to dry (30 minutes or so) and re-ink the lines and add cross-hatching with Koh-I-Noors between 0.13 to 0.5. It is here that the the black ink runs into the colors.

If your work doesn't require any inking after coloring then you may be okay with this paper but if your process is similar to mine then you should look elsewhere.

I bought this for our, then, 16yr old daughter last Christmas, and asked her to write a review. Here it is:

It doesn't bleed, it doesn't smudge, it blends perfectly - I just wish I didn't have to buy it. Copics are so expensive, such an investment, but they work so well! And, honestly, they are at their best when used on Copic-Brand paper. *sigh*

It's a good size, a good price for the size, and I guess I'm going to have to buy it again.

I needed some high-quality paper for my Copics and decided to go with the brand made specifically for the markers. I'm glad I did. The paper is phenomenal! No bleed-through, none whatsoever, which surprised me for paper so thin. The markers glide on smoothly and blend nicely. It's the perfect background for these vibrant colors. I've had zero problems with ink from pens bleeding into the markers (I use Copic multiliners).

This is a pad of paper, not a sketchbook. The sheets are designed to be removed.
