Well written with clear descriptions of terminology. For anyone in a relationship with a crossdresser, this book provides insight and compassionate suggestions for dealing with the situation. It acknowledges that people may be supportive without participating in the activity and that those people may also have needs that must be met. It addresses the crossdresser as well as other family members and friends who may wish more information about the subject

The author of this book, "JoAnn" Roberts, is actually a crossdresser. How can we believe anything s/he writes when s/he is lying about herself? I'm not saying there isn't a positive message in this book, but finding out I've been tricked by another crossdresser has deluded the message for me. So I want others to be warned first before buying. I'm not saying don't buy, just be aware.

The author also states that there is no cure for crossdressing. Well, there are men out there that have come to peace with themselves, integrated their feminine and masculine sides, and HAVE become more healthy and whole human beings out of the process. Maybe not every man can be "cured" but I think it is unfair to say that none can overcome this.

FROM THE COVER (since Amazon doesn't have any info avail):

"It's time that someone put crossdressing into perspective when it comes to transvestites and their partners. Too often, a woman is expected to simply accept her partner's crossdressing without really understanding his behavior or the issues involved. That's what this book is all about: understanding.

This book looks at crossdressing from both sides of the relationship, discussing the issues that arise for both partners. Then, suggests positive ways for both partners to cope with the behavior. It stresses communication, negotiation and compromise. This is a serious book for every couple struggling with the role of crossdressing in their lives.

This third edition includes Perspective essays from crossdressers and their partners on such subjects as religion, self-esteem, children, sexuality, and divorce. These essays add personal experience to the solid advice already here."
