Book Description

January 1, 1982
This is a story of Copito, a Chihuahua who accompanies his mistress Maria to her first posada. He witnesses the excitement of the Christmas preparations, but after the third posada he chases a jack rabbit into the desert and gets lost. Being a tiny dog, Copito is scared. But he has made up his mind to find Maria, and his adventures give him courage to fulfill that goal. He finds Maria on Christmas Eve. This is an informative, entertaining easy-to-read book. How to create pinatas and figurines is added activity.

It is the author's hope that this book will bring these children-centered family traditions of warmth and love and light into many more lives, regardless of religious beliefs or ethnic roots.

About the Author

Over 1,800 children have been placed by Los Ninos(Children's) International Adoption Center (LNI). Jean and her husband, Heino were already the parents of three biological sons when they adopted twin daughters in Colombia in 1973.
