Since I was a kid I have always had sinus congestion problems. When I was in college I was diagonosed with "background allergies". Essentially this means that I don't really have extreme reactions, but I can never breathe through both nostrils at the same time. I have used Benadryl, Sudafed, Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, and Flonase with varying results, but all of them dried out my sinuses.

I'd seen friends use neti pots but I was always a little grossed out by the process (perhaps because I saw my friends using them when they were sick). Last year I got really sick and a friend of mine went out and bought me the Himalayan Institute Press Ceramic Neti Pot. She showed me how to use it and after trying and failing a few times over the course of a week I managed to get it to work properly. My main complaints were that it held half of the liquid that I needed and the spout was a little too large for my nostrils.

Nevertheless, I figured out just the right way to use it and I became a believer! No more stuffy nose! No more sinus headaches! I had never, ever, been able to breathe this clearly in my entire life: I felt like a new woman!

I have used it at least a couple of times a week ever since. Then much to my chagrin, in a flurry of cleaning I knocked my ceramic pot off of it's shelf in the bathroom and it broke! I was really upset about it, so I decided to get a new one, one that wouldn't break when it landed on the tile floor.

So I searched around for a while and although there are many plastic options, they all seem tacky to me. So I decided to give this one a try. It's cheap, I love copper and it's beneficial for circulation, so how could I go wrong?

Well, it works.

I am new to jal neti. But I saw few videos on you tube and decided to buy the jal neti pot. Since this copper one was cheap, I bought it online. I agree to one reviewer that pot has really small tip, so I have to insert the pot very carefully into nostril all the way up. It's not easy to use. I wish tip would be little broader like you have on other expensive jal net pots.

Never the less, Jal Neti is great yogic exercise.

As advertised, an antique-lookin copper neti pot. th spout has a slight dent, which I might have put in it, while unwrapping the packing.

The spout came loose in less than six months! It is not as pretty as the picture. The rounded bottom didn't help to endear me to it either. That's what happens when you settle for cheap! Buyer beware!
