We used this product to keep mice from entering the house via the openings in the stucco. Easy to install, we learned to tape the ends when cutting to keep the bits of cut copper to a minimum. This should solve our problem, took us a few hours to place the wire, in larger, deep areas we used chicken wire AND mesh AND foam. We don't expect any more problems! Product was shipped quickly. Should also stop larger bugs like scorpions from getting in.
Remember to NOT use rodent poisons, secondary poisonings is the leading cause of raptor deaths, and raptors are what keep the rodent population down.

We have several raised beds and thought this would be a better alternative to the "copper tape" that is sold as a slug deterrent. Better in that it would be more cost effective to surround our 12 beds and also that the surface is rougher compared to the tape, which slugs don't like.

The results: This stuff worked for the larger slugs. Tiny slugs (less than 1") seemed unfazed by the copper, so we had to resort to killing the critters with the beer traps. It did seem to slow down the flow of slugs into the gardens so overall it was worth it.

Since the 100' roll is a flat tube, we split it into two pieces - each 100' long, giving us 200' of coverage. We stapled it around each bed. If I were to do it again, I would experiment with some beds with the split piece and others with the unsplit. I wonder if not splitting it would provide better deterrent to the slugs.

100' Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh September 14, 2009
I found some holes in the screen used to cover the vents for the crawl space under my house. I read online that copper is better at keeping pests out of crawl spaces and I also wanted a finer mesh to reduce bugs getting in as well. This is a very fine product and easy to use. I never had to do this before, but I think I made a good decision in chosing this product.
