For sale is ONE rain chain made of pure solid copper in the shape of large cup/bell. The chain can replace traditional gutter downspout by guiding rainwater onto the ground. It makes soothing sound when water travels down. The copper construction will make the chain last for decades and develop a beautiful greenish patina with age. The entire chain is 8-ft long and has 16 cups. Each unit comes with a V-shaped hanger (made of thick copper wire) for gutter attachment. Each cup is 3 1/4" tall, 3 5/8" in top diameter, and 1" in bottom diameter. Length of the chain can be easily adjusted by adding or removing cups. I was pleased with the quality and attractiveness of this chain. The copper was not at all flimsy and the piece has a good weight. This was my first attempt at installing a rain chain and I'm not sure I did it correctly. I cut a circle about 1.5 inches in diameter into the bottom of my gutter and inserted the v type hanger (supplied)then hung the chain from that. During a light rain it works wonderfully. In a deluge (Florida rain)too much water come out of the gutter opening filling the cups too rapidly so there is some splashing out of the cups. I'm certainly glad I got the chain with the large cups as I think smaller cups would not have worked at all in a heavy rain, but perhaps there is a better setup than mine. The folks who installed my gutters were impressed with the price of the chain. They even took a photo once it was up. I'm going to get another one for my home in KC.

The installation went well. I had to cut a hole in the bottom of the gutter in my case at the end of gutter run. I installed a new plasting short downspout connecter. After bending the installation kit with pliers and bending back after putting in place it held up the bell cup chain fine. It worked best for me to hook up the seperate installation kit before installing in the gutter. We got our first real rain last night and it works very well even though there is splasing out side the bells. Very happy with the product and the price. Laurel MD

This rain chain is very well made of heavy copper, with copper loop fittings. Design preference is personal, of course, but I find the smooth bell-form cups very attractive.
