Book Description

April 30, 2002 9 and up

Jamie, Davies, and Ten Tons are mudlarks, boys who stay alive in 1850s London by finding and selling coal in the banks along the Thames River. Their dream is to find adventure by going to sea, but they'll never get a place on a seagoing ship without the money to buy an apprenticeship. Then they spot a potential treasure -- a half-ton of copper. All they have to do is rescue it from the depths of the river....

Ten tons went on a bout trip to find some treasure. When they where out at sea ten tons fell off the bout. All he did was sitting on the back of the bout in his chair. The crew got vary mad after time went on they got madder.

But he did some diving if he got board. That is all he did.

After they fond the treasure they told him that if he did not get to work he dos not get any of the treasure. So he started working a lot. Things that he did were he went diving for more treasure but he did not find any more treasure. He even asked to dive the bout. He learned not to make other people do his work for hem. Ten tons got a lot of money out of it.
