Screens out the sun's burning rays to help prevent sunburn. Provides protection from UVA rays that may contribute to skin damage and premature aging of the skin. Higher SPF gives more sunburn protection. Retains SPF after 80 minutes of activity in the water or sweating.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Octinoxate (7.5%), Octisalate (5%), Zinc Oxide (14.5%). Inactive Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, PEG-12 Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Sodium Chloride.
Directions
Shake well before use. Adults and Children 6 Months of Age and Older: Apply evenly and liberally to all exposed areas before sun exposure. Ensure complete coverage. Reapply as needed or after towel drying, swimming, perspiring, or vigorous activity. Children Under 6 Months of Age: Ask a doctor.

Great sunscreen, really works.,

This sunscreen is great. Yes, it is hard to rub in but that is because it actually works and doesn't put as many chemicals into your skin. This sunscreen has been tested by the EWG and they rate it well because it protects the skin like it is suppose to, many sunscreens do not. It does absorb, it takes about 20 minutes. I think it is wonderful because I know when the kids no longer look like snowman it is safe for them to go in the water.

I have sensitive skin, and acne prone skin, and this doesn't make me break out. It is a little thick and makes me look really white but it is relatively safe compared to other sunscreens and does not irritate my skin at all.

After becoming aware of the dangers of sunscreen and the lack of protection of most products I searched the EWG's sight for a decent suncreen that was not too harmful and protected me from UVA and UVB rays and wasn't too expensive.
This one fit the bill, I have extremley fair skin and so does my red-headed husband. He will often burn just standing in the sun for 15 minutes. In the past I purchased spf 100 for him which didn't even work. So I got this product to give it a try hoping the zinc would provide more protection for him. It is easy to rub in, just remember less is more and worked great he wore it while working in the yard for about 5 hours and didn't even have a red tint to his skin. I love this product so much I bought two more bottles to take to mexico with us. I didn't notice it being greasy or too white and chalky, maybe the other reviewers got an old bottle or something. Also we are both pretty white so we may have not noticed the white simply because our skin is already so white. It went on just like normal suncreen to me and smell just like all other sunscreen. FYI: The Coppertone Sensative Skin for Faces 50spf is great for your face, nice and light.
