This has been one of the best finds this cycling season. What makes this so fabulous? Well with one application of this at 7:00 am, I did not burn, all day long. I was in the direct sun from 7 until around 4:30. I am extremely fair, and normally I just burn no matter what I use.

The application is easy, and with the continuous spray you don't have to worry about missing some tiny spot. When they call this their "Sports" version they mean it. One can only imagine how much this this goes through if this can survive an all day bike ride in 90 degree heat.

This is a horrible product. It's an effective sun block however it lasts for maybe 2 applications, sticks like glue and good luck in applying in any kind of breeze. I've showered 3 times and my shirt still sticks to by back. Use the cream, its better value and you can be sure you're properly protected, plus you don't turn into instant fly paper.

Ok, so I have used this product probably for 3 years. I primarily used it for playing softball, and it worked flawlessly! I bought a new can this season, since I was out, and I found that it does work fantastic for the beach. My only complaint is showering afterwards. I ended up with a haze and my skin started peeling after my shower. Honestly, I think it was the remainder of the product coming off of my skin, but what a mess. I will still continue to use this product because it far surpasses others, but any tips for how to get the haze away?

My dermatologist advised me to boost my sunscreen after 2 hours on the golf course. I was pleased to find this product which is easy to spray on. While golfing, you can't take time to spread messy cream all over.
I also like that it is resistant to sweat. The size is compact enough to tuck into my golf bag or cart.
My only complaint is the difficulty of spraying oneself on a windy day. I also wish it was unscented. The smell hangs in the air after you spray it.
I think I'll get some more of these to keep in the car and tote around.
Update (4/11/08): now I'm annoyed with this. The top that turns to open the spray part of the container seems to be stuck. I can't get it rotated so the spray will work. I know there's still 25 to 30% of the sunscreen still in the bottle.

This new continuous spray sunblock is wonderful, wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about the sport spray and the regular continuous spray that Coppertone has come out with. Why hasn't someone come out with this sooner?? It is so quick and non greasy and the spray comes out so easy and smoothly with no clogs, this is now the only sunblock we will ever use. Our family of 5 can now be sprayed down and out the door in only a couple of minutes. It says to not spray on your face, but my 5 year old son came up with the brilliant idea of putting on his swim goggles before getting sprayed down and it worked fantastic!! A must have, you won't know how you lived without it!!

This is the worst sunscreen I have Ever used on my kids. They didn't get burned but it immediately left a film on them that peeled. After showering and scrubbing it's still there. Now they're both complaining that their back hurts when anything touches it. Not like a burn, but tingling inside! Seriously?! They are not sunburned. I'm thinking this product chemically burned them. It's very strange and I'm not sure how to help their symptoms. I will never use this product again. Very scary!

I had a lot of trouble finding a sunscreen for my daughter when she was a toddler. Several different baby sunscreens irritate her skin, leaving a bright red painful rash. This does not irritate her skin. My nephew is also sensitive to many of the other sunscreens available, but has no reaction to this one.

As the other reviewers have mentioned, I did notice that it stains light colored fabrics an ugly yellow. And it does indeed leave a residue on my skin that is hard to wash off. But I still like it and use it. One application lasts for hours and hours even in the pool, we've never burned using it, I can spray my own back with it, and my daughter doesn't have a reaction to it.

I do use the Coppertone sport sunblock for faces on my face, not the spray.

This is my first time ever using a spray-on sunscreen and I believe it will be my last.

Pros:

1) It works -I was not sunburn while using this product.
2) No sticky residue or greasy feeling, but dries so quick, you can't help but wonder if you put enough on and need to reapply.

Cons:

1) Goes on too clear and light, so it's hard to tell how much is on and if you got enough on for the best protection
2) Spray doesn't just get on you, but gets on your clothes and every thing else within spraying distance.
3) High content of alcohol. Has a very strong rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover smell. A matter of fact, it is 74 percent Alcohol Denat. (Denatured Alcohol is a pharmaceutical preparation of ethanol, used as a disinfectant, solvent, and astringent that is applied topically). So therefore, it stings, it burns your eyes, makes your skin peel, and dries your skin out. The ethanol fumes were so strong, I felt myself getting light headed and my eyes were burning (and I wasn't spraying it anywhere near my face). I DO NOT recommend using this product on your face, because you will blind yourself!!!
4) After showering and scrubbing the dead skin off that the product caused, I couldn't get rid of the smell. I also had to follow up with lots of moisturizer to counteract my skin being sucked dry by all the Alcohol Denat. ingredient.

Over all, this product does protect from sunburns, but it dries the skin out. If you're trying to avoid premature aging and sun spots on your skin and face, I would not recommend this product. If your strictly about avoiding sunburns and want something that goes on quick and non-greasy, and you're not concern about skin dryness, give this stuff a try.
