This review is from: Cops and Robbers (Audio CD)
A superb masterpiece soundtrack. My first time hearing Legrand was while watching Thomas Crown Affair. Once I heard the soundtrack to TCA I had to have the cd so I purchased immediately after viewing the movie. At any rate, if you like that soundtrack you will learn to definitely appreciate this composer for his style and uniqueness of scoring. I have to admit not much of the music is audible throughout Cops and Robbers unless you watched the movie blasting through your speakers hopefully in a surround sound atmosphere but even then it is not too obvious. Like for instance the supermarket music in the background playing through the intercom is Legrand. The barbecue outside music in background is Legrand. What a shame the music isnt clear unless you get the soundtrack but I guess that wasnt the main objective of the director to which I very much understand but as a music lover it's just a shame. Another shame is not many copies of this disc are around for limited copies were pressed and it seems to be getting even more rare by the second. Rob steal beg or borrow, get it if you can. The opening title sung by Grady Tate is also a gem and definitely worth the purchase. Thanks for your time. Happy listening!!
