Keep them coming! There is a continuing need for clear, concise, practical, and updated grammar books for Sahidic Coptic.

This grammar by Johanna Brankaer is just such a book, and crafted in a way to really benefit both new students and progressive ones.

The grammar moves effortlessly from simple lessons to complex grammar, with helpful exercises that impress grammatical insights in pragmatic ways.

The textual chrestomathy and glossary are also first-rate, making it easy for the reader/student to get a feel for the actual usage of the terms and constructions found in actual Coptic literature.

There is a need for more familiarity with Coptic, especially for students of the New Testament, since the Sahidic Coptic version of the New Testament is a significant witness to the early NT text and useful in textual criticism.

I heartily recommend this book.
