This a fairly decent product that works and delivers on it's claims...but that's it.

If you want a very basic unit that's not at all user-friendly with only the minimum features and functions...this is it.

This unit is built like a tank, has a multitude of functions and options for you to customize how you burn your CDs or DVDs, can be used as a stand alone burner or used in conjunction with a PC with the bundled software (Roxio 9XE) to double its burning capacity, can Lightscribe those special discs, not to mention the high quality Aleratec customer support that is included (which I used and were very courteous and quick to answer my questions).

What my wife and I really like about this duplicator is that you can connect it via USB to your PC to double the amount of discs you can burn at the same time, and if you need more capacity, you can buy another of these units and connect it via USB to the same PC to quadruple your burning capacity. Two units are the limit though, but that option prevents your first unit becoming obsolete because you outgrew its capacity.

Below are the options listed in the owners manual. There are actually more due to the firmware upgrade, but as you can see if it's not listed below you don't need the option for your disc.
