I used this book as a supplement to study for my copyright law final. The author did a really good job of combining the statutes, policy, and relevant cases. She covered almost everything we covered in class and gave me a good understanding of the relevant tests. It included the most recent dramatic changes in case law. It's a dry book, but it's a dry subject. If you need help understanding copyright law or how the statutes work together, get this!

The organization is confusing and the book is far too brief an overview to be of any assistance. Moreover, the book spends a lot of time on fairly obscure statutory exceptions to general copyright law rather than providing a good overview of the basics - which is far more important on tests. The coverage of fair use is woefully inadequate. Examples & Explanations is much better.

This is a much better little textbook on copyright law. It is compact and you still have to do some wading through wordiness.
