you have to be a total freak about the history of Coral Gables to appreciate it. If you're like me and you want to know EVERYTHING about Coral Gables; then, this is the book for you! (I've purchased 2 of these).

Although this booklet is written by an academic, it is understandable for the broad population. It is a little clinical in its approach, so the writer's background shows as being of the academy. Yet, the book provides an economical solution for a guide book to this City Beautiful. There are several other books that do the job much better, but for 1/10th the price, grab this volume and enjoy the insights presented.
Beware, if you think you're purchasing a standard book-sized volume you're not. The format is extremely tiny. For an enjoyable read, this booklet would work nicer at 8 x 10 or larger. However, if you intend to use the booklet while touring Coral Gables, it's ideal, as it will fit in a guy's back pocket, vest pocket or a woman's purse. Enjoy! |
