  • These are not the glasses that were used in the theaters for the Journey Movie. Those were black framed grey lenses that are polarized and will not work for the DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars They do their job, August 2, 2009
By Jose Leal (California, United States) - See all my reviews

These 3-d glasses do their job. Take on account some other glasses may not work with this particular movie. For instance, the Hanna Montana glasses which are made of plastic, don't work with the Coraline dvd/blu-ray, neither the glasses you got at the movie theater.

I love this movie! It's one you can watch over and over again! I'm an adult with no kids, and a huge fan of Tim Burton! Here's to you Tim!

2.0 out of 5 stars Caveat Emptor..., July 1, 2010

This review is from: Coraline 3D GLASSES Only - for Blu-Ray and DVD
There was nothing wrong with these 3D spectacles, they were the 'real' thing; exactly as advertised.

But..., my advice to all those Amazoner's out there:

If you're renting or borrowing (shhhh..) "Coraline", yes then get the glasses, (if you want to watch the flick in 3D).

But if one buys the "2-Disc Collector's Edition", they will find that there are 4-pairs of the very same passive 3D glasses included. (Yes, I ordered the glasses separately; not knowing that they were in the Disc Set; so I ended up with these glasses, AND the 4 pairs that were in the "Coraline" Disc Set.

The film makers went to no small trouble to make this a realistic passive 3D film, even to the extent of
making the interocular distance, equal to the pupil to pupil distance of the 'puppets' or the figures used in the film, not the interocular distance of an adult Human Being.

It makes for a more realistic sense of depth that way.

That said, the film is possibly the very best work that has ever been done in this genre or type of film-making.... (I liked "Peter and the Wolf" though, very much).

5.0 out of 5 stars 3D doesn't work? Maybe your TV is bad.
The 3D for this film works fine. I think the people who are mentioning that the 3D has problems more than likely have to set their TV to the default settings. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good movie, bad 3D
I would have given this movie 5 stars for the story line and animation, but the 3D version doesn't really work. Read more
