My daughter wanted this doll for her 7th Birthday.I was a bit disappointed in the size when I first opened the shipping box but the quality of the doll well makes up for its size.My daughter absolutely loves it!I would not mind spending the money to buy one of the other Coraline figures as well. The doll looks just like in the movie and if you watched the DVD extras on how they made Coraline you will appreciate this doll.

I give this doll a 5-star rating! It's only about 6-7 inches tall, a little smaller than I expected. I found the price point a little high, but as a Christmas present for my 6-year old, I wasn't worried about it too much.

My daughter was more than pleased with her Coraline Doll. It's more of a collectable/figurine type. She plays with it and loves it and it's quite sturdy. I plan on buying the other styles of the Coraline Dolls as well.

The doll is very well detailed, looks exactly as Coraline does in the movie. Her hair isn't as dark, more of a translucent blue than a matte blue. Her face is adorable. Very well done. Adorable little expression on her face. The clothes are well made.

If this is something you are thinking to collect or buy for someone, I wouldn't hesitate. Just don't expect a regular sized doll, it's pretty small.

This isn't quite what I expected. I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend's birthday. She's a fan of Henry Selick's animated movies, as am I, so she loves Coraline, James and the Giant Peach and the Nightmare Before Christmas. I read in some other reviews that this wasn't a very big doll, so I was expecting that and it's not quite as small as I was led to believe (she stands around 7" tall). What I wasn't expecting was that it was basically a bendy doll (the body is rubber with wire inside serving as a "skeleton" of sorts) and that her hair was basically just plastic. My girlfriend still loves it, especially the "little clothes," but it's very hard to pose standing on account that the head of the doll weighs just about as much as the rest of it (it's doable, but it doesn't take much to send Coraline crashing down). It also doesn't come with a stand like some of the other "bendy" dolls seem to, so that makes displaying it a bit of a chore. Overall, I'm still glad I got it, because she still likes it and it definitely looks like Coraline.

I'm a huge fan of Coraline so I have high expectations for this doll. When I received it, it came in secure packaging, box and stuffing. The product itself is very accurate to the Coraline doll being used in the motion stop movie, where 6 inch clay dolls are used to create a story, such as bending the dolls arms and legs. The stitching on the clothes are top quality and the face on Coraline is very cute and has lots of detail to show emotion and character =). The hands and shoes can come off so I wouldn't recommend this to any children below 5 years old. The clothes can also come off. I think the only draw back to this doll is that the hair is a little see through and isn't a color I would choose for Coraline. The face of the doll also doesn't come out either, but I forced mines out revealing an empty head with two eye sockets (like the dolls used in the movie!).

I love this little doll! It's definitely more for display than play, but if you are careful and avoid really grabbing the hands and feet, you should be fine. The detail is amazing. This doll did not come with a stand, but I believe the other three do. (I also have the raincoat doll and that did come with a stand.) On a side note- I can't believe how much the price shot up. When I ordered the doll on 8/21 it was sold by Amazon and cost $19.95. Now it's sold by a third party store and costs almost $40. Maybe the price will go back down again in a little while...

NECA has produced a superb toy collectible in their " Coraline " figure . I started out with the " Raincoat Coraline " and was so enthralled with it I immediately set about to finding the other available 7 inch versions . The " Star Spangled Sweater " SDCC Exclusive version did NOT disappoint . Prior to my purchase I did some research and for the most part have to say the available reviews were positive to the quality and " fun factor " . I had read that this figure needs a display stand because it can't stand unaided . This , is untrue - despite the thin body design and oversized style of the head BOTH Coraline dolls I own can be posed and stand completely free of any outside support quite well better than some larger scaled and less stylized action figures that I possess . The tailoring of the costuming as well as the proportional scale weave of the fabric is better than many similar items and truly exemplifies the attention to detail and quality that NECA puts into their products . The overall materials used to create these Coraline bendies is top notch and translates to a whole lot of playtime fun .

The best feature is the moveable eye system !! The Coraline 7 inch bendies have a removeable faceplate that allow you to reposition the eyes - combined with the distinctive and personable facial expressions of each doll means that so many unique play options can be had you'll find yourself amusing yourself with Coraline for hours on end . It's been quite some time since I have had THIS MUCH FUN with a toy and I'm 50 !! It's really neat to get that " kid " feeling back !! HaHaHa!!

well made doll to be displayed but no to be bent. Quality is good and kids like the fact that faces are interchengable. My kids were satisfied.

To start off, I wouldnt consider this to be a toy at all. It is posable replica that is just meant to be on display on your desk, bookshelf, (or along side your other coraline dolls) The reason this is so is because of its fragility. Although it is bendable, the hands and shoes may easily be ripped or broken off, as they can moderately twist separately. Also Coralines head weighs just as much as her body and may come off its socket if played with too roughly. Her tiny knitted clothes, also, may come unthreaded. It is to look at, not play with.
My only complaints about this Coraline are: the fact that it does not come with a base-since Coraline is topheavy, it is difficult to get her to stand, although it is certainly possible. Just dont bump into her! Second,I had a hard time trying to remove her face. The face is removable and interchangable with other faces, but in this case, I just wanted to change where her eyes were looking. When I pulled with all my might to get her face off, an inside part of her head broke off. (but no worries, this actually made taking her face off a lot easier; plus you couldnt see it as it was in her head. All in all its a great doll despite minor flaws. Still worth it for the fans just because it look so genuinely like Coraline. Once you get her to pose, look, and stand exactly how you want, youll feel glad for buying it.

This is a Comicon exclusive doll, and was not from the original release of the doll set. She does not come with a stand like the others, but you could buy a stand for her for a cheap price. Besides there being no stand, the biggest complaint I have is that you could see through her hair and into her head under bright lights.
She has great details, too. You could actually see each strand of her hair (which is plastic), and she even has her little firefly barrette. She has freckles under her eyes and you can change her eye position if you take her face off. I couldn't manage to get her face to come off, though. She has painted zippers on her boots and her sweater has stars on it and is sparkly.
Her nose it sort of pointy, so the paint on it can rub off easily. Her facial expression makes her look a little shy, which is very cute. Her pants attract lint, but you could just use tape to safely get rid of it. Her hands and feet can pop on and off, which makes it easier to twist them and change its positioning.
Her arms and legs are made out of iron tread, which makes her bendable. however, If you bend her too much, her arms and legs can snap off. On her backside, she has little holes where her common joints would be (elbow and knees), which make it safer and easier to bend.
She is about 7 inches tall, and I paid about $20 for her. I think she was a little pricey for her condition, though I really like her and she is easy to grow onto.

It was a gift and was adorable. My daughter sent it to a friend in Sweden who was so thrilled and excited.
