Forget pixels, this is Corb in Color!,
This review is from: Le Corbusier Alive (Hardcover)
Corb thought of color in terms of its capacity to behave spatially. This comes across very well in this beautiful book. The pictures are current and convey this spatial presence very well. Numerous projects are portrayed from all periods. (Including some splendid shots of the cabin at Cap Martin).

This review is from: Le Corbusier Alive (Hardcover)
The next best thing to seeing Corb's work in the flesh is to read this book. Corb's writing can be as dry as any other Architect but here is a tour de force of his key buildings across 4 continents which will rejuvenate your interest and provide new insights into the complexity of the man's design intentions. None of the turgid and obscure prose that blights most architectural critiques here; just a step by step explanation of the composition and history of his buildings with the keys to what hitherto may have seemed wilful form and detail that two generations of architects have turned into cliche.
