5.0 out of 5 stars long time satisfied user of this item
I have had one of these pants pressing things for 20 years now. I am very satisfied with the performance for pressing dress pants (wool). I use is every day when I return from work. Yes you want to be moderately careful about placement of pants into the machine but I have not had a problem with it. It has saved me plenty in dry cleaning bills and the pants last longer...

2.0 out of 5 stars realize what you are getting here
It's important to realize what you are getting here. If you are looking for something that will approximate a press from a good dry cleaner, fuhgeddaboutit. If you are looking for a "good enough" touch-up press, stretching out your wearing intervals between professional cleanings, you may be happy, but in the end the word I would use to describe performance is Mediocre...

It's important to realize what you are getting here. If you are looking for something that will approximate a press from a good dry cleaner, fuhgeddaboutit. If you are looking for a "good enough" touch-up press, stretching out your wearing intervals between professional cleanings, you may be happy, but in the end the word I would use to describe performance is Mediocre.

The comments that:
1. it creases one leg more than the other
2. it requires careful placement of the pant legs to avoid extraneous creases
3. It only works on creases below the pockets (i.e. the backs of the knees)
4. you are better off with a good iron (if you are skilled)
are all true.

Having said that, if you
1. place the pants in it carefully and correctly,
2. use it EVERY time you wear them (two wearings gets them too wrinkled) and
3. are willing to iron the top area of the pants (get a high end Rowenta iron for this if you are smart),
then the Corby can be moderately effective in helping you stretch cleaning intervals.

I have one of these at home, and I have also used these at hotels. I still use mine, but I understand its significant limitations. Anyone who tells you this is a complete solution by itself is either not very picky at all, has an exceptional unit, or works for Corby. You will have to decide if it's "good enough" for you.
Good luck with your decision.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great! But not a one stop solution., June 8, 2008

My wife bought this pants press for my birthday and I must admit it's the best thing she's ever gotten me. This press takes the guess work out of keeping the beautiful crease in your pants between Dry cleanings. It took some skill to learn how to make sure I did not double crease my pants and I still have to touch up the "seat" area but this makes the process much easier. Just come home drop them in when you get undressed and hang them up when done. The crease is great and the pants look great. I have found that it takes a little time to get the skill of getting the pants in the press correctly but once that is done it works beautifully. I do want to stress however that this is not the tool for removing heavy wrinkles from pants that is not what it is supposed to do. This is a tool to keep your pants looking great and help extend the amount of time you can use them between dry cleanings ( I can generally wear them 3 times and have them look great instead of 1 - 2 with the second being iffy ).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, September 5, 2007

I first bought the Corby 5500, thinking that it was the "original", and has the higher number. But that one was a disappointment (see my review on Corby 5500). So, I exchanged the 5500 for 3300. The 3300 works great, and looks sleek. I use it almost everyday. I might buy another one to put in my office.

Note this is really for wool pants. Won't work well on Kakhis or jeans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Repeat customer, June 26, 2010
This review is from: Corby 3300 Pants Press, Black (Kitchen)
Had this product for about 12 years of reliable service until the plastic legs collapsed and broke. Would suggest that the manufacturer use wooden legs instead. This is the base model of this product, and is all that is really necessary. The more costly versions have variable timers, (15, 30, 45, and 60 minute timers) while this one only has a 30 minute. I can't find any other difference. We are both retired and do not use the jacket press attachment. I heartily recommend this pants presser. We ordered it on Tuesday and it arrived just three days later. Great product and great seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best appliance in the house, December 5, 2009

A wonderful way to stay always "pressed" and neat. Saves trips to the cleaner and money in the bargain. Good for all material, safe and reliable. Simply put pants in the press at bedtime and they're ready in the morning. (sooner if need be)
