The customer support staff was great with helping me exchange for a different size. Once I had the right size, they fit and felt great, even though they were a bit stiff at first.

I've wanted a pair of tanker boots for years and finally decided to splurge. The price was right and the Corcoran name is legendary. Unfortunately I was disappointed to find another name on the tag when I got my pair. They are still very nice boots and they are made in USA (which is getting hard to find). I agree with the earlier reviewers comments about the short straps. I'm no fattie and I can barely get the arch straps buckled, another 1/2" to 1" of strap would help. Other than that they are comfortable right out of the box, water resistant and easily take a high shine.

Maybe Corcoran sells their boots under another name too. I'm no brand whore but I like quality stuff and I like to know exactly what I'm getting.

I can kill a pair of chucks in a month but I had 1 pair of these boots for 3 and 1/2 years of daily wear and pairs of soles. Just bought another pair to replace them. What did them in was a 75lb wieght from knee high. I Ride a 02 vfr and a 91 gsxr and would recommend them to anyone looking for a mc boot they can walk in.

Delivery great and quick.
Fit of shoe portion of the boot is a Perfect fit.
My Problem with the boot is the Straps, both the instep and the leg wrap straps.
The boots appear to be sized and made for girly/boy skinny calfs.
The Straps (both instep and calf wrap) barely reach the buckles.
There isn't enough lenght to the straps to even punch a hole for a 'custom' fit.
Otherwise great construction.

I guess I will have to find a leather worker or cobbler that is able to replace the straps with longer ones.

This is not the Tankerboot I remember at all. The actual fitting of the boot was incorrect. What I mean to say is, the physical size of the boot was not the size advertized. The straps were substandard, and would in my opinion would have worn out in short order. The reason I can say this is that I myself am a leather worker. I would have to remove and upgrade the straps to have any confidence in them. In closeing a size six fit like a size five. If you order these order large. Myself I went back to Corchran Jumpers. My last two of those sets lasted so long they couldn't be resoled any longer. Five times to be exact. And I went directlly to U.S. Calvary [...], much better service.

I've been wearing boots as my every day footwear since I was 10, but after joining the military, I started having issue. Numerous ankle injuries caused my ankles to swell, and collapsing arches did the same to my feet. Normal boots just became unbearably, as I continuously had to tighten or loosen the laces to keep my foot wear from cutting off blood flow. But tanker boots are the solution. Straps made boots usable again, while still providing a loose enough fit to keep my feet from howling in pain. And these boots in particular have lasted me just shy of 5 years of every day, all day use.

As these are old style military boots, they can be waxed to protect the leather and keep the boot looking almost new years down the road. The soles can also be easily replaced (Mine have been replaced once), adding additional life for a minimum cost.

Just beware: these boots are not designed for long treks. They provided minimum ankle support, and the looseness of the fit can cause blisters if you decided to go on a hike. They are perfectly good for walks through the park and every day usage, however.

In addition, because the straps are placed so high, you can actually get away with wearing these in many business like scenarios. When properly waxed and wearing dress pants, very few people realize I'm wearing military combat boots at the IT company I work at.

5 stars for comfort, longevity, and a fine looking piece of footwear.

I bought this to protect my feet and ankles when riding my motorcycle and it was a great choice.
The tanker strap design is easy to get on and off and is very comfortable.
Note the other comments made about the short length of the staps- they are short.
The factory should lengthen the long strap by about 3 inches to fit big/muscular people. Overall, a well-made USA product!

thees boots are amazing, they are first pair of boots beside a pair of old jungle boots(no good) they have lasted a year and still look new, granted you do have to shine them to make them look new, the only wear is some creasing on the shoe lace area. they are also extremely comfortable, and the soles are insanely durable. i accidentally walked across some burning carcoal on the ground and there is barely any visible damage, these boots are great, buy them if you need boots.

Wrong size sent to me. Product was not what was expected. The quality was not good and the leather was like paper. Definately not worth the money. Tried to return them and initially had trouble. No one responded. I was told they missed/did not get the email. I finally received the return label and sent them back. I was credited immediately.

Dont know if I would buy with the company again but I would never buy shoes from that manufacturer with seeing them first.

I can't wear these they make my feet bleed. They dig into my achilles! ugh...
