This boot is made in the USA. It is made by Corcoran. It is a 10 inch jump boot. BUT it is not the ORIGINAL model that Corcoran produced years ago.

If you look at the image of the boot from the top down, you will note by zooming in that the felt that blocks the view of the thin brown leather is placed for deceptive reasons. It surely does not reflect the boot in whole as it blocks the view into the boot.

The leather is very thin and not full grain leather, usually these boots will last years of abuse. I returned these cause chances are... they would not withstand any hard wear. These boots are made of compressed/ chipped leather which is JUNK and not quality at all. I cannot understand why Corcoran would make this.....

If anyone makes an attempt to purchase this boot know that it is not the ORIGINAL. The ORIGINAL boots will hold that title, Original. Corcoran Original Jump boots are what you are after. You will pay for them, but they are well worth it

These are poorly made, composite leather, paper thin soled and utterly useless. A hundred dollars is SHAMEFUL for such a boot, 25 would be too much. Utterly useless and generally just bad. Apparently this company does other boots that are better, but these are crap.

If you're looking for the original Corcoran jump boots that used to come in the orange and black box, they still sell them, but they're about 30 bucks more than these. Army clothing and sales used to sell two brands of jump boot. Corcoran and H&H.

You could tell the difference by looking at the soles. Corcorans have a xxx waffle pattern, and a C on the heel. H&H had a smooth sole, and fewer brass nails around the boot.

Corcoran/Cove shoe/H&H have obviously merged in the past 20 years. All of the boots are now branded Corcoran, but this particular model is the old H&H boot. It was always a few bucks cheaper, and the difference is noticeable side-by-side.

These aren't bad boots though. They're a little less "solid" than the true Corcoran jump boots of old. When these wear out, I'll pony up for whatever the Corcoran jumps cost by then.

While these boots look like the real thing in the pictures, they most certainly are not. The only part of the boot that is all leather is the tongue part of the boot. The rest of the boot is made out of some sort of cardboard material. I'm not sure that these boots will last more than a few wears before they fall apart, and I'm almost afraid to shine them, in case it destroys the boot. Do not buy these boots.

This isn't a review but just a message on the off chance that anyone representing Corcoran reads it.

I live in the UK and it is virtually impossible to get these boots online in Europe. The ones I've finally managed to find cost an absolute fortune (Ł185) which I'm still going to pay as I may not get another chance to buy any -since these ones will no doubt quickly sell out.
There must be a huge potential market in the UK and Europe just from armed forces personel alone, such is the reputation of Corcoran over here. So for what it's worth, please for the love of god try and make Corcoran boots available on Amazon to the European market -I beg you!

    Regards, Liam.

The boots arrived on time and were exactly what I was looking for. They are comfortable and look great. I have only worn them twice but had them on most of the day. I did notice a couple of spots at the ankles that got a little sore but I expect that with a new pair of boots. It takes a little time to soften them up and fit just right. I am an RC with the Patriot Guard Riders and have to stand for hours on end and they are just what I needed. They are a lot like the boots I wore in the Marine Corps back in the early 70's.
