This home telephone system is designed with analog signal transmission on a 5.8 GHz frequency, providing you with a clear, long-range signal that doesn't interfere with wireless internet networks. With subscription to local service, the phone is Call Waiting/Caller ID compatible, and includes a 40-station Caller ID memory that allows you to store numbers, or move them into your permanent 10-number phone book. The fully digital answering system offers 15 minutes of recording time, and digitally stamps each message with a record of the time and date of the call.

The black and silver phone is wall-mountable and includes a 90-day warranty covering parts and service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not loud enough, December 16, 2005
This review is from: GE 5.8 GHz Cordless Phone with Answering System, Caller ID, and Speakerphone (Office Product)
A very nice standard phone with everything I need. I like the handfree function (speaker). But a lot of times I feel the volume doesn't go up high enough for me to hear especially when I am talking out of my house.

Generally, I am happy with this phone and using it for many years. One big drawback is that after first year almost all the letters on the reciever were gone. This is realy inconvenient if you don't remember which button stands for what.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good!, May 30, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: GE 5.8 GHz Cordless Phone with Answering System, Caller ID, and Speakerphone (Office Product)
I bought this to replace my old cordless telephone that didn't have a speakerphone. It worked great until I replaced it with a newer GE model. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that when the power goes out, it's very sensitive: it will wake me up in the middle of the night with the answering system on and it saying: "Press MEMO key to receive setup instructions." It doesn't have modern features like handset speakerphone and melody ringers like my current GE EDGE phone does, but it is good enough!
