A great series
This would be terrific if it came on DVD but having it in any format is a great source of information and training in cooking by the finest cooking school in the world. It is not a terribly polished presentation but the information provided more than makes up for any defect in photography. And it certainly beats a trip to Paris for their cooking school. Cooking school in your home
Whether you are a beginner or a serious cook these tapes will be informative. The content is very basic with simple to learn techniques and basic mother recipes. The english dubbing over french instruction was distracting, especially when the translation does not correspond to the dialogue. Picture quality was not as good as the Cooking at the Academy series and...

Cooking school in your home,

Whether you are a beginner or a serious cook these tapes will be informative. The content is very basic with simple to learn techniques and basic mother recipes. The english dubbing over french instruction was distracting, especially when the translation does not correspond to the dialogue. Picture quality was not as good as the Cooking at the Academy series and may mislead a beginner into overcooking most of the final presentations. This would not help anyone who has attended comprehensive professional culinary training.

Well, not quite since I like Paris anytime. But it is certainly worth having if you cannot make the trip!
