As with all of the Corduroy Lift the Flap books (Easter, Christmas, Beach, Halloween, Firehouse, Zoo, Birthday--no longer in print, and Library), this one rates 5 stars......and we own them all! These rate as our absolute favorites in our book collection. The text is not lengthy and the flaps keep my two 1/2 year olds hands busy enough for me to read the text before he is on to the next page. For this reason, they were the only books we read for a long time. The illustrations are fantastic! The story takes you on the course of Corduroy's day-- packing for the beech, finding a spot in the sand, taking a swim, flying a kite, getting ice cream and going on rides on the boardwalk, and looking for treasures in the sand. Enjoy!

My son who is almost 2 - loves this book - we started reading it to him when he was about 1.5 before a trip to the beach. Since then - we have read it almost twice a day since. He loves the lift flaps - it is just simple and yet complex enough to keep his attention. He now asks for it by saying Beach.... I highly recommend this series we also have Corduroy goes to the Library, but goes to the beach is definitely a favorite. Downside is that he wants to go to the beach all the time... if that is a downside ;)

My daughter just loves this book. She loves the pictures, the flaps, the words, everything. It drives us a little crazy, but we read it over and over again. She received it just over a year ago and has not tired of it yet.
She loves when we take trips to the beach and she gets to experience things that happen in the book! She will quote from it, and when we depart from a beach, she says, "Goodbye beach. Thanks for a wonderful day!" Seriously.

This is my 15 month olds favorite book! I do believe she will continue to love it as she gets older also. It's great for memory skills too. I'll ask her to find the beach ball and she remebers which flap it is under! In addition, we live on the beach in the summer and love "beachy" books!

Tjis is another great Corduroy lift the flap book. Our toddler loves the beach and read this book constantly. It's a cute way to "visit" the beach during the winter.

This was the perfect book for my nephew - he loves Corduroy and Biscuit. We all went to Cancun and this was a great way for him (3 years old) to remember our trip.

We bought this book just before we went on a beach vacation for our 18 month old. He loves Corduroy. This book has great pictures and the flaps make it very interesting. I looked really hard for a good beach book for my son. This one is the best!
