In this book while Corduroy is searching for his library books to return to the library, your child will be able to help him find his books. This lift flaps are fun and not so big that they will tear easily. I have loved Corduroy since I was a kid and now I am enjoying his educational adventure to the library with my 6 year old.
This book is great! I checked this book out of the libary and my little girl, who is now 1, loved it so much that we had to buy it. She's been into lift-the-flap books for months now and these books in particular, are wonderfully drawn, with lots of bright colors and the characters are all very cute!
This is a really good series of children's book that feature the lift-the-flap. There's lots of things on every page, as well as a good story to read. I think that is a good blend of activity and story telling. This was my son's favorite bedtime book for months.
I collected the Corduroy lift the flap books for my son beginging 7 years ago. He loved them. I tucked them away when he grew out of them and just pulled them out for my 3 year old daughter, who enjoys them just as much! This one is her favorite, and has inspired a lot of imaginary play (dropping the books in the slot at the imaginary library). I am delighted to find that there have been 3 additional ones published since my son grew out of them! I enjoy a SHORT....sweet story at bedtime, and these books are perfect! One to two sentences on a page and draws your child in as they lift the flaps. Though I enjoy all of the books, my personal favorite is Corduroy's birthday, which I believe is no longer in print (I've tried to purchase thsi book as a gift on several occassions). While I purge my house of childhood clothing, toys and books often....I think I will be holding on to the Corduroy lift the flap books.
If you are a parent or grandparent, get the Corduroy series for your kids to learn to read and understand life. I can still remember how my middle son loved his Corduroy books and carried them everywhere he went. Must be a good thing, he is a surgeon now! You can't go wrong!
My grand daughter loves the courtney books. The lift-the-flap pages encourages her to actively "read" the book. This book about library is a fun way to introduce little kids to the activities in the library.
I bought this book because we had the Corduroy sleep over lift the flap, and I thought this one would be just as cute. I do like the flaps and all the cute pictures and object under the flaps. The story is not as good though. It is neat that it is about the library, but it just seems to not be the most cohesive of plots. Great as a picture book though.
