Corduroy Road,
This review is from: Corduroy Road (Audio CD)
I wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviewer; this is an absolute masterpiece of contemporary melodic jazz. The trio format lends itself to plenty of conversational dynamics. These guys are really listening to each other. Guitarist Larry Koonse is in the same league as Cal Collins and Johnny Smith when it comes to taste and matchless tone quality. If you enjoy listening to well-played intelligent jazz (not lifeless "smooth jazz"), by all means pick this up.
