The Core Curriculum for Critical Care Nursing is a concise, thorough review of each body system. Each major chapter not only outlines a thorough review of A&P, it also goes into common disease states within each system and even discusses nursing concerns with each disease. I have used this book for several years personally, and my director has one in the ICU for a resource at work. I highly recommend this book.

This is an expensive book, however a good resource to keep on hand. This book is set up as an outline. This is not a detailed text covering all the ins and outs of pathophysiology on the cellular level. It does cover pathophysiology but set up in an outline form, not a standard textbook. Easy to read and grasp information.

I bought this book for resource to replace a copy once borrowed and never replaced. It's a slow read obviously. It helps when one takes care of patient population with specific problem in reviewing the essentials, the pathophys, the pertinent lab values, etc. It was cheaper then the newly published version...and probably just as informative
