Put my neck in a bent position, obstructing my airway. I could not use. The picture on the package it comes in shows someone sleeping in that same airway obstructing position. Not acceptable for someone with sleep apnea.

I've only used it twice, but in both instances I didn't fight with my pillow, and I didn't wake up when I changed positions. I've used a cpap machine for at least two years now and I can't imagine sleeping without it, but sometimes I dreaded the thought of fighting for a comfortable position throughout the night. So far this pillow's construction and comfort have made my life a little more restful. I appreciate the posts of fellow shoppers and this is the main reason that I posted, I wanted to return the favor.

5 Weeks Later... I'm still loving my pillow and plan to take it on any vacations. Two suggestions for the manufacturer: 1)Include the option to buy additional pillow cases, it just makes sense, and if anyone has found a source for this particular pillow, please leave a comment, 2) I was unaware that the pillow could be purchased in various sizes, and I didn't have an option in selecting the size. I received the 4" pillow size and fortunately it works for me. The information printed on the packaging suggest that you measure the distance from the neck to the end of the shoulder and order: Petite Loft (3"), range of 4"-6"; Standard Loft (4"), range 6"-7"; or High Loft (5"), range 8" +.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great pillow for CPAP users!, March 3, 2011

I love this pillow! I was having problems with my normal pillow pushing the mask away from my face and causing leaks. Other comfort pillows are either too large or to heavy to comfortably put your arm under if you sleep on your side. This one is just right! It's not super hard but not so soft you sink into it. It is a little smaller than a standard pillow so I don't know if you could use it by itself (I put it ontop of my other flat pillow) and it is perfect! It also comes with it's own little pillow case which is good because it is oddly shaped. It's just a great item and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a cpap who likes to sleep on their side.

4.0 out of 5 stars helps keep my neck positioned so I can sleep, December 15, 2010

I bought this for husband who uses a CPAP machine b/c of sleep apnea. He needs the pillow to support his neck, which is sensitive b/c he had a cervical discectomy and fusion surgery about 5 years ago as well. He can sleep comfortably and has no trouble with the machine, either. One suggestion is to buy an extra pillowcase, however. When you need to change the pillowcase, you have to wash it the same day unless you have a spare.

If you are wondering which CPAP pillow to buy, get this one if you are looking for firm support. The cut outs perfectly accomodate the hoses. It is quite comfortable with good neck support. It comes with a removable pillow case.

I have been sleeping very well with this pillow. At first it felt to high, but now it's great. Either I got used to it or it adjusted itself with my head weight.

I still sleep with my face close to the edge as I did with my regular pillow, but because it's firmer and taller, the mask stays in place and doesn't keep bumping the bed. The shape of the pillow is just great.

I find I can get comfortable while sleeping on my stomach, back, or side.

It comes with a pillowcase which is shaped to match the pillow.

This is the only Cpap pillow I've ever tried so I don't know how it compares to the others. But since I find myself sleeping comfortably, I'll stick with it.

Ordered this pillow for my husband. After he adjusted to the size he thinks it is a great pillow for use with his C-Pap machine, keeps hoses in proper position and limits mask leakage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for CPAP side sleepers, March 31, 2012

DH got his full face CPAP mask and machine on Monday. By Wednesday he knew a regular pillow was not going to work for him. Adjusting to the mask was difficult enough let alone having to fight with an unsuitable pillow. Without delay I searched Amazon and after reading the reviews took a chance on this pillow. I am happy to say this morning DH is a very happy camper, well rested and extremely pleased with his new functional pillow.

To start with this is Saturday, March 31. The pillow was not supposed to be delivered until today, but glory be to our sweet surprise the box from Amazon was on my doorstep by Friday afternoon. Of course DH had to try it out first thing and he was pleased with it right out of the box. It is smaller than I expected but DH is a side sleeper and had been complaining about having too much pillow anyway. As it turns out the size is perfect even for his big head.

Last night was the first night DH slept through the night without the mask coming apart or breaking the seal. The pillow was perfect, not too high, not too hard or too soft. The pillow case which comes with it is manufactured to precisely fit this pillow, and is elasticized for ease in slipping the case onto the curves and contours of this pillow. The case is amazingly soft to the touch. It will be very expensive to order a spare from Core Products, the manufacturer, but I will do it because this pillow is a keeper!

And it's made in the USA!

There are other heights (3" and 5") available from the manufacturer that might benefit very petite or very large people but at a greater cost.

MORE: It is now the middle of April and DH tells me almost daily how pleased he is with his pillow. I have ordered and received two extra form fitting pillow cases from the manufacturer. They are of the same soft, stretchy, material and of the same quality as the original pillow case that came with the pillow. I have washed and dried the original pillow case with no special treatment and it came out looking and feeling just fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pillow--CPAP pillows vastly overpriced, March 29, 2012

Nice pillow. I recommend the pillow itself. Seller was fine--transaction went smoothly and arrived fast.

However, I'm downgrading this pillow from five stars to four stars due to its exorbitant cost.

This category of pillow "CPAP" is grossly overpriced. There's no way that a pillow (with a few curves) should cost $50 or more to an end-user. The cost to the manufacturer probably is no more than $10. $50+ is highway robbery. When I can get such pillows cheap, I'll jump at the chance. Any pillow that fits a Standard pillowcase--which this does--should not cost more than $20. I protest.
