Love it, love it, love it. My wife and I have had this for about a year. We bought it after we both had to go to physical therapy and they used it on us. We use this for multiple purposes. My wife has asthma, and when I use it on her lungs it helps loosen some of the phlegm and allows her to breathe easier. We use it for certain other problems: around the back of the neck, the spine, the lower back area, the calves. After using it, for about 5-8 minutes, it allows us to crack the other one's back more easily, because it brings blood to the surface. Even if you don't/can't crack your partner's back, this is wonderful. It's a bit heavy and vibrates a lot. Also, when you press down very heavily it slows down somewhat. But it's got a strong motor overall, has the ability to vibrate over a broad range, and has proven to be very durable. We even got one for one of our daughters and husband. We had bought a smaller hand-held massager, but this Jeannie Rub blew that small massager away. This rates 99 out of 100 in our book.

The variable rub massager,
This review is from: Variable Speed Professional "Jeanie Rub" Massager #3401 (Health and Beauty)
This new product is quite enjoyable and very well equipped with speed gradual selector. It has high quality and VERY good for the price of it.
These features make it a winner. The long cord gave me flexibility of space and room to maneuver aground the house. The power of it, I have it all over my body or at least it is what I am in pursuing of it. I shall explore more on these an their accessories. All my bad-back symptoms are in the past or gone. My whole body is grateful to this new product.

I rationalized spending this much money on yet another machine to help with tired muscles and back pain. My thought was it was cheaper than several massages and I could always return it if I was unhappy. This is one of my best investments! I can use it myself on back and shoulders when I hurt and I really do feel like it is helping.
The machine is well built and substantial, does what it says it will do.

I have been having back pain for the last couple of weeks. I set the Jeanie on the couch behind me and allow the machine to work its wonders. It may look like a sander, but the vibrations loosen all tightened muscles by increasing the circulation in that area. First you feel warmth and then a tingling sensation. What once had been extremely tight muscles loosen easily. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!

Let the "Jeanie" Rub Away Your Muscle Pain.,

This is a great device with many positives, and very few negatives.
I work in a call center sitting all day, and I get a very tight knotted muscle pain running up and down the left side of my spine and into my neck and shoulder, a pain that often makes it very difficult to sleep or relax. I have tried many things ranging from expensive 1hr and 2hr deep tissue trigger point massages, cheap vibrating back massage devices and rolling shiatsu massage chairs, chiropractic adjustments and tens unit devices. I have tried most over the counter medicines and quite a few holistic herbs to relieve inflammation and nothing has worked long enough to make it worth the high cost. Once I got married I could no longer afford weekly chiropractic visits or monthly massages. (which only kept the pain under control but did not eliminate it) I started looking online and read tons of reviews. Finally it came down to two devices, this one and the Thumper Percussive massager. The Jeanie Rub looked exactly like something an old chiropractor had once used on me, and I recalled it had relieved my pain for a couple of days. Ultimately I went ahead and settled on purchasing the variable speed model. I admittedly felt a tinge uneasy about the high price tag, but still felt hopeful that it would be worth the high price if it worked. It would be an investment if I no longer had to spend 120+ a month for massage and chiropractic visits. I was still very skeptical. The device came on time (next day) and I tore it open and examined it. It was heavier and bigger than I had imagined, but solid and well built. I hurriedly plugged it in and turned on the dial switch. The device began to rotate in a way that my wife compares to a car buffer. I first tried it on my leg, then on my brothers back then finally on my back. My back sank into heavenly bliss. Unlike other massage machines this really had the power to sink in to my stiff muscles and go "deep" enough. I felt my muscles relax almost immediately. This machine has a ton of power. Normally I require deep tissue with tons of heavy pressure, but the oscillating 4200RPM action gets in deep without applying much pressure. I was soon glad that I got the variable speed model, as I found the fastest speeds worked great for me, while most others preferred the lower RPM speeds. I love showing people the jeanie when they come over, it's so unique. When using this device on me, my three brothers, and most others, the initial reaction you get is a deep relaxing "aaahhhhh" as your muscles melt and your cares drift away. " I want one," and "thats awesome" are very common responses The best part about having this device is that it works consistently when I need it, and within about 10 or 15 minutes I am pain free lasting for about a day or two. I soon found myself asking "what else can this "Jeanie" rub?" Now, I use it on my head for a scalp massage. I have used it on my face and jaw when I had jaw muscles locking up, on my legs abs and chest and feet (very nice on feet), and just about everywhere else you can think of. Anywhere that you want to feel deep vibrating relaxing pleasure. The more I use it, the better I get at picking the right speed and using the right pressure and movement techniques for the best overall feel. Now, I will mention the few negatives I can think of. The device can make your back feel itchy after about 10 minutes of use. I had to use it a while to get used to it. Like a really bad almost unbearable itch. My wife really hated it at first, and only after a while was I able to convince her to use it long enough to get past the itching feeling. (my guess is it has something to do with blood rushing to the back area) Even now she does not like this nearly as much as I do. Most the guys that have tried it on have liked it. (I personally feel like the itching is a small price to pay in order to have my back pain relieved, and found the itching goes away the more you use it) Also it is big, and pretty heavy. I would probably use it twice every day (in the morning to loosen up and at night to relax) but it to hard to use it on yourself, (when working on the back) so someone else will need to use it on you. I took it on vacation with me in my checked baggage, the TSA must have thought it looked suspicious because they searched my bag. Also my wife really doesn't like the vibrating feeling it produces, it bothers her hands, so she doesn't enjoy using it on me and I feel kind of guilty when I ask her to use it on me. (my wife is one of the few people who had this complaint) Ultimately this device has helped a lot, and in my opinion was worth the high price tag. I have not been to the chiropractor once since getting this device. I am still interested in saving up for the Thumper Massager, as I am hoping it will be something I can use on myself without assistance. I am also hoping that my wife will like it better than she like this.

Vibration Powerhouse,
This review is from: Variable Speed Professional "Jeanie Rub" Massager #3401 (Health and Beauty)
This massager is REALLY heavy-duty. I got the variable speed version with posts and at the lowest setting, it gives a good, strong massage. At the highest setting I have to be careful it doesn't fly out of my hands! The weight is on the heavy side which means I don't have to press as hard when using it, but it makes it a little more difficult to control. I prefer it being this heavy, though. I just need to be careful when using it. I'm VERY glad I got the variable speed version, though, because I can adjust it as needed.
The handles are a little padded on the underside but not on the top and a lot of vibration is transferred to my hands while using it. I've wrapped the handles with bubble wrap to create an insulating air barrier to lessen the vibration in my hands. The machine does create noise, but not surprisingly so for the amount of power it generates and hasn't detracted from the mellow ambiance of a relaxing massage. Initially, I was worried it was too powerful and could injure my husband, but he totally loves it and doesn't think it's possible to do damage. Since he's on the receiving end, I take his word for it. He prefers the regular massage, but with this incorporated additionally, it's better than either method alone. At least that's his opinion. One thing to be aware of is the version with the accessory posts does not come with any accessories (except a little fleece cover which I don't use). Maybe it's obvious to some, but it took me awhile to figure out accessories were not included. I bought that version so if in the future I decided I wanted more accessories, I'd have the little screw down knobs necessary to add the accessories later. I'm on the fence whether I'll ever bother with them, though. Maybe I'll spring for them if I get up the nerve to get into trigger points...

I have been using my Jeanie Massager on brothers, sisters, son, daughters, and friends. Everyone loves the feel of how it circulates the blood flow in the muscles. Of course I love it too. My chiropractors office uses Jeanie and so I wanted one. I can even do a fine job of reaching my own neck and shoulders and low back. Most beneficial and enjoyable while lying down and having someone use it on you. Apply more or less pressure according to individual likes. A must have for comfort and relaxation!!!

Great Massager,
This review is from: Variable Speed Jeanie Rub Massager with Posts (Health and Beauty)
I love this massager. The variable speeds come in handy. I really don't need the attached posts but I bought the unit with the posts just in case I ever needed them. This model is the same as the local chiropractic clinic uses. I can even use it when I am alone. I just prop it against the recliner and let it vibrate my back. It's great. I highly recommend the variable speed jeanie rub massager.

When purchasing this massager, I was looking for one similar to the massager my chiropractor uses. This massager turned out to be exactly what I was looking for (I am wondering if Jeanie Rub is the actual brand my Chiropractor uses). The massager is very simple .. it vibrates at speeds you can adjust by turning a knob. It has a lot of available power (for an intense massage if you can handle it). At the highest setting, the person giving the massage may want gloves. I think this massager is soundly engineered for durability. It seems to be very sturdy. It also has a long power cord which is nice.
