I have been using this for about a year now. I find it very useful. I have solved many of the problems I was having. I have upgraded the software to 5 stars. The software can do many things that MS office can but for a fraction of the price. The only drawback is that this software is not fully compatible with Microsoft office files, this is not 100% correct, as I have had to use the machines with Microsoft Excel at work in order to work with some of the files generated by my job in Excel 2003, these files are required to do my job, so there was a huge disappointment there, as I thought I could do this work at home if I purchased this software. Furthermore, the presentations created in this software are not readable by Powerpoint, as previously thought. So, there are some inconsistencies with the description and the software. I also use Open Office a free software, and find that Open office can do more than this software in terms of compatibility with MS Office. If you like Wordperfect, and have used it through the years, you will love this, if not, then you may not like it at all. I personally have been a Wordperfect user since the early to mid 70's with the blue screen dos version. Anyone remember that one? OK, I am old, and certainly dating myself here. But, Wordperfect is solid software and always has been.

I have never fallen in love with Microsoft Word. I started with the old WordStar, then moved on to WordPerfect for DOS. I have found the functions in WordPerfect, particularly the reveal codes function, to make word processing much easier. Word is fat and slow and the controls require more strokes. Often, you simply can't get done in Word what you can in WordPerfect.

I got this update for my new Windows7 desktop, and it performs perfectly.

I have read the input from the user who upgraded from WordPerfect 8, and I can't respond to those specific complaints, as I have not tried to edit graphics.

This works with my WP documents, converts Word doc and docx well, does everything else you'd want from a desktop office suite, at a fraction of the MS Office price. No contest.

This disc DID not arrive in the familiar "white and yellow" packaging. I expected the disc to be new, with instructions and ready for installation. What I got instead was a single disc, sent from an unfamiliar address, slipped into a plain DVD sleeve, no company logo nor designed with only a serial number on the back of the sleeve. When I put the disc in for installation, at a certain part of the installation process, a blue screen comes on my computer that basically tells me the disc failed to install. This did not only happen to one computer but two computers I own.

The disc is defective, sent from a place I'm not familiar with as it was not sent from any Corel facility. I basically coughed it up as a loss until this "review" was presented to me.

I've been a regular customer of Amazon having bought everything from computer components to music CD's. I've had nothing but satisfaction for the service Amazon has provided, UP TIL NOW. I wrote defective on the disc with intentions to send it back! Either I'm refunded my money or send me a disc from the Corel company, in a new box as I assume it would be!!! This disc that was sent to me, I believe was copied, had a label placed on it and sent from another source! I DO NOT APPRECIATE THE DECEPTION!!!!!!!!!!!
