This guide for using CorelDraw is an extremely well written book for a beginner with CorelDraw. It is very comprehensive. It is organized well enough so that even if you are not familiar with any special jargon, you can find the drawing functions that you are looking for quite easily.

Even though I haven't read the whole book yet, it has answered a lot of questions about CorelDRAW X4. I have enjoyed it so much that I ordered another one fo my granddaughter for her birthday. It was written in such a way that it is easy to understand, even for a novice to CorelDRAW. An awesome book!!!

Finally! A book with step by step, easy instructions and examples to learn a complex system. The help on the program itself assumes that you know a lot, and therefore not too helpful. For a person that does not know a thing about this program, (me), it is an awesome book. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am new to the CorelDraw X4 application, and this book has been a helpful guide. It is very thorough, and it walks you through the software features, step by step. An excellent learning tool for beginners and a great reference for seasoned users.

At this price and since Corel endorses the product, I would have expected more tutoriols on disk. However, it is written in clear, unambiguous language (for the most part), and I would recommend the book.

I have been playing with CorelDraw X4 for about a month and have had many questions on how to do things. Well this book covers quite a bit. Its good as a tutorial or as a reference book. It even covers VBA scripting for CorelDraw.

This is the book I wish I had gotten when I first got the program. Author Gary David Bouton does a great job of carefully laying all the bits and pieces of CorelDraw 4, explaining how and why each works and providing very well written practice tutorials as he progresses.

I had the program for almost a year, trying to learn on my own, before I broke down and bought this book. Even though I knew some of the tools and features, I still read the book cover to cover (yes, all 900 plus pages). It has become my reference manual and sits right along side me while I work in Draw.

For a beginner, this book may seem intimidating, but don't let that stop you. From the very first section, Bouton shows you how to do some pretty nifty tricks. And one of the best features of this book is the index. Very complete!

If Amazon wants to buy this book back, they can't have my copy. In all honesty, I can't seem to find any thing that I wish were better about the book.

I will be upgrading to a higher version of Draw at some point and I will get Bouton's book on that version at the same time. And not make the mistake of losing so much time trying to figure things out on my own.

Excellant book with so many extra download tutorial files and easy to understand, worth every penny. When I bought an eary verion of CorelDRAW I bought Unleased and felt the only way you could learn the program was to take there seminar. For someone completely new to CorelDraw I'd suggest "CorelDRAW X4 in Simple Steps" to go with this book.

I ordered two books on the same date at the same time. QuickBooks arived n perfect condition with in a few day. Now over 30 days later and 4 e-mails I've still not received the Coreldraw, Nor have they replied to my e-mails.

This book has been great in learning how to use Corel in production. I started my job as a graphic designer in June 2010 and was new to vector drawing and so Corel was completely new to me. In the four months since, I am very comfortable using Corel Draw but at first I really needed help from coworkers. The book is great at showing you tools and how they function, but what a new person needs is demonstrations of projects and how they were done. If you can afford it CorelDraw Unleashed series sounds like it does that with some extra add ons. If you are completely new to vector drawing this is what to buy if you have mentors, otherwise get Unleashed.
