Corelle coordinates 5 piece simple lines,

This set is made of a thicker porcelain type of stoneware, not the glassy type of Corelle that the dishes are made from. The color is not exactly as white as the dishes. The product is much thicker and heavier and does not nest the way the dishes and bowls do. That was a major draw for me in chosing the Simple lines dishes, I can easily fit service for 16 and serving bowls (the plain white Corelle) in one kitchen cabinet. I was hoping that I could nest the serving bowls into the casseroles, but there is no way.

Totally Unhappy - Items Returned,
This review is from: Corelle Coordinates 5-Piece Casserole Set, Simple Lines (Kitchen)
My partner and I ordered this casserole set because of how VERY happy we are with our Simple Lines Corelle Square Dinnerware. We had searched for any 'completer' items and were pleased to find what we 'thought' were going to be the first of several items we would be adding in the Simple Lines Corelle Square pattern. However, although we realized all pieces could/would not be made from the same 'glass-like' material as the dinnerware, we at least expected them to be 'pyro-ceram' like other Corningware items (many of which have had designs on them). We were totally displeased to find the casseroles to be made of what amounts to 'pottery' and even have UNFINISHED bottoms. Perhaps had the entire pieces have been glazed we 'might' have considered keeping them, but the raw undersides were unattractive, unserviceable, and a complete turnoff. My only words to Corning and the Corelle Division are "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" As a result, planned purchases of the Canister Set and other items that are made similarly from what they are CALLING 'ceramic,' will now never happen. Any potential future purchases will occur only if Corning gets its act together and reissues Completer Pieces in pyro-ceram or other appropriate material. We love our Corelle Square dinnerware and would recommend that to anyone. Beyond that -- forget it...for now.

Pricey and Clunky,

I got this because its the only one thats a square and hence really coordinates with the Simple Lines dinnerware. But its really too big to use for 4 settings, its really heavy and does not feel comfortable to carry....its also very pricey for how much use you get out of it

Looking for Corelle suitable for smooth top range,
This review is from: Corelle Coordinates 5-Piece Casserole Set, Simple Lines (Kitchen)
All the listed reviews heap praise on the Corelle's but how can I find out if they are smooth bottom (no ridges) for glass-top ranges? Would anyone who has one on hand kindly look at the bottom and post a reply: "Yes, no ridges" or "Sorry, there are ridges." Thank you!

This set matches perfectly to the Corelle Simple Lines Dinnerware. It wears and washes well, and is perfect for baking or re-heating in the microwave. Because of the handles and the lids, it also presents well at the table.

When my order finally arrived it was like it was packed for serious abuse, box inside a box. When I took the bowls out, they were much heavier than I thought they would be, this is good. I really believe that this was money well spent.
