4.0 out of 5 stars Nice..but heavy!
These are sturdy and nice looking bake and serve ware but are very heavy even wihtout any food in them. I guess, they needed to be this way to withstand the temperature of the oven. If you are just looking for some nice looking bowls just for storing and serving, these are not the choice.

However,the price I paid ($15.99) is very good and I don't mind...

2.0 out of 5 stars Tops don't fit
These items seem too heavy for Corelle, much heavier than the
Corelle that I have. The tops don't fit well, either, and I would guess they weren't made for these dishes..

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and Pleasing, February 24, 2006

I've used these to bake everything from a rump roast to Shepard's pie, and they are fantastic. Nice and thick porcelain meaning no burnt bottoms and a breeze to clean. The large pot will hold a 6lb roast with no problems. The smaller one is perfect for side dishes like green bean casserole or baked beans. Best part is they are pleasing to the eye and make a perfect serving dish...straight from the oven to the table.

5.0 out of 5 stars BREAKAGE: AMAZON STILL DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PACK THIS, June 10, 2009
By

Wouldn't you think that the people who ship things for Amazon would occasionally READ these reviews?

Despite numerous reports that they arrive broken, I ordered these Corelle bake-and-serve pieces because people seem to like them, and figured that SURELY by now Amazon had figured out how to ship them without breakage. Well, they arrived today and the lid of the smaller casserole is broken -- for an obvious reason:

The packaging (back in China where these are now made) is such that the handle of the larger lid rests on the smaller lid, separated only by a piece of thin cardboard. The slightest bump during shipping is going to drive the one against the other and break it. No amount of packing OUTSIDE the Corelle box will solve this problem.

Amazon needs to OPEN each package and INSERT protective bubble material between the two lids.

It shouldn't take ME to figure this out!

I'm writing this comment before submitting my request for a replacement top (which I am confident Amazon will provide).

What a waste for everyone, for Amazon shipping to allow a situation like this to continue -- not just for months, apparently, but for years!

3.0 out of 5 stars To chinese: it's not designed for stove use / BAO TANG, April 11, 2007
This review is from: Corelle Coordinates Callaway 4-Piece Bake-and-Serve Casserole Set (Kitchen)
Although it looks like a fashionable chinese Sha Guo, actually, it's not. Many people bought the Corning Ware because the product information here in Amazon was misleading. After I got it and read the descriptions, I found it clearly said "DO NOT USE ON STOVE", although it is oven and microwave safe.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken on arrival, January 15, 2009
This review is from: Corelle Coordinates Callaway 4-Piece Bake-and-Serve Casserole Set (Kitchen)
This product is not packed to be shipped well. Inside the box that came from the mfg. there is nothing to prevent breakage when shipped through the mail. And it did arrive broken! The box that Amazon sent it in was packed very well but still did not keep it from getting broken.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice casserole set - hard to find in retail stores., January 12, 2008

I purchased these as a Christmas gift, and they were a hit! First, I looked in all the major retail stores and could not find any Corelle Coordinates bowls like these, at all. So, I was please that Amazon not only had them but had a selection of them. I chose this pattern for its simplicity in design. The bowls arrived unbroken, very protectively wrapped, and the lids fit fine. I was concerned about both of these things after reading other reviews. The bowls are heavy, but that's to be expected as they must endure high heat in the oven. All in all, I'm very pleased and may even purchase a set for myself!

1.0 out of 5 stars broken TWICE, May 20, 2006
This review is from: Corelle Coordinates Callaway 4-Piece Bake-and-Serve Casserole Set (Kitchen)
This isn't a review of the product since we could never use it. We ordered this because the price looked so good and we thought it would be a nice set to have. The first time it arrived the delivery person advised us to open it- sure enough it was SHATTERED beyond recognition (though it made a pretty sound). So we rejected the box. We decided to give it a second go, thinking they couldn't possibly botch the packing twice. Lo and behold the second set arrived - at least recognizable as cookware this time - but broken again. It is so clear from someone who packs and sends items that whoever packed this assumed it was a box of bricks. Many of the packing airbags were FLAT in both cases, but there wouldn't have even been enough to stop breakage even if they were all inflated. Essentially three sides of the box were padded, not even top and bottom. No more fragile purchases here!
