I have had Corelle as my "everyday" dinnerware for the 32 years I have been married. Styles change, and I have updated a couple of times. This is the prettiest pattern yet, I feel.It's lightweight, so you don't have to lift heavy plates out of the dishwasher. Corelle is wonderful, it' microwaveable, and never fades. I wanted the luncheon plates, but they were about $3.50 each (which is still inexpensive!), but bought the exact same tan base color ones that are plain for about $2 at the outlet store. (All the "Mills" outlets have them). The luncheon size is great for snacks and small meals, so it's really a great thing to have in addition to the standard set. We definately use them the most. Walmart has a good selection of Corelle, if you don't want to wait for delivery. I have reached the age where I like comfort and convenience more than having the latest thing from the upscale stores like Pottery Barn. A lot of people turn their noses up at Corelle, but it's pretty and practical!! I give it 5 stars.

Great plates -- but the mugs could be better,

We have two sets of dishes -- one was corelle, and the other was not. We finally decided to get rid of the "non" for a new corelle set. I ordered two sets from Amazon: one came broken (they really didn't try and cushion the packaging very well at all), while the other was fine. (I returned the broken dishes and recieved a replacement in a very timely fashion. Good service.)The dishes themselves are great: sturdy and attractive. Our only reticence about the set is that the cups are mugs -- normal ceramic mugs not made of that sturdy corelle material. We would have preferred the old type of cups. Still, that didn't prevent us from ordering a third set so that we have enough dishes for guests as well.

This is very lovely set! Especially the bowls!! They come with a nice delicate row of leaves design outside the bowls which you normally don't found in other corelle sets. Also the plates are not shallow as compared to other sets. I am still looking for matching platter and large serving bowl!! Unforunately Amazon doesn't carry them!! Also try the bake-serve set available on amazon which matches this one. You can't get same set elsewhere easily.
