I purchased two sets. I am giving it five stars because of the beautiful design; there are things that I don't like about the set. The mugs are only 8oz (Who drinks 8oz of coffee?) and the handle is so tiny; can barely fit two of my tiny fingers through them. The cereal/soup bowl is also tiny at 16oz; I prefer 28oz bowl so I ordered its best match which are the Sandstone 28oz bowls to replace them. The dinner and salad plates are so beautiful. My nephew threw one on the floor during one of his fits and I just laughed (not at him), but that he thought he could make me angrier by breaking something...jokes on him. Actually, please do be careful; they do break.

I ordered 2 sets of these dishes and I plan on ordering a third so I have a set for 12. Unlike the previous posters, both of my sets arrived in perfect condition. They are great dishes.

I had a $30 Amazon gift certificate, so I bought two sets of these dishes for a total of $7l.36, but I had the same problem as the previous reviewer. When I opened the boxes, one of the dinner plates was shattered into so many pieces that I couldn't even count them. There was nothing on the outside of the box to indicate that the contents were fragile, and the packing inside the box was not sufficient to protect the contents. When I contacted Amazon's Customer Service Dept. by email, they responded quickly and sent another complete set of dishes which I received in just two days. They also paid for the shipping to return the set with the broken dish.

It was a pretty good price although it arrived with one of the big plates broken. There's not much you can do in that case, it's not worth paying to ship it back. Fortunately there's a place I could get an extra plate for $3. Although I saw I could have picked this up there for about the same price anyway. My recommendation is buy from a local dealer.

I highly recommend Corelle. I have used Corelle dinnerware for 20 years; I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 20 years. My hand therapist recommended I use it to help protect my hands and wrists, which have been greatly affected by my RA. Ironstone is very popular for everyday use, but are too heavy for people with arthritis. I can even drop a plate and not have it break.

These are very nice dishes with a beautiful pattern. They came promptly and in excellent condition.

This item was easy to locate and order. It arrived in a timely fashion and was everything I expected. The shipping chrges were appropriate.
