5.0 out of 5 stars Great for young children and for portion-controlled meals
I initially bought the 10" plates and my husband loves them, but they are too large for me and the children. My 4 year old loves that they keep the food from touching ; ). I also found them to be just perfect for portion control and I have been using them myself as they automatically give you the perfect smaller portion- The meat section hold just about 3-4 oz. of meat,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Small

Corelle plates and bowls have been with our household ever since I remember.
Our favorite of the Corelles is the divided dish. They stack on top of each other perfectly. Unfortunately, not this 8-1/2 inch but the 10 inch plate. The 10 inch plate saves us at least one plate to wash. The 8-1/2 inch is too small specially to be divided into 3 parts...

I initially bought the 10" plates and my husband loves them, but they are too large for me and the children. My 4 year old loves that they keep the food from touching ; ). I also found them to be just perfect for portion control and I have been using them myself as they automatically give you the perfect smaller portion- The meat section hold just about 3-4 oz. of meat, and the veggie and starch sections hold about 1/2 cup each- perfect for a low-cal balanced meal. They look great and they never seem to chip, even if dropped. If you are looking for large dishes for hearty servings, get the larger ones, but if you are looking for a nice plate for kids or for the smaller appetite, this is it.

Pros:
-Durable. Me and my wife have dropped them many times; and they don't break easily.
-Light. Less stress for our kitchen shelves.
-Microwave safe
-Easy to clean
-Dishwasher safe

Cons:
- Too small

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Corelle, January 7, 2011

We have everything in white that Corelle has made and we love all of it-but this is our favorite. My hubby and I had gotten in habit of filling our plates (too full)and over eating especially at supper/dinner time. He is a diabetic and is now over weight so this smart little plate is helpng us eat what we should. I thought he would hate it but it is kind of a challenge to arrange our food on the plate, it looks good and honestly we are satisfied when done. We are very pleased and I think you would like it too-it just takes a little getting use to and like anything you do in life-make it FUN for you and your family and that helps make healthier families.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for toddlers (and my dishwasher), October 2, 2010

These plates are the perfect size for a toddler. And, in addition to being microwavable, they can go into the bottom of the dishwasher. The top always fills up with plastic ware, but there is always room for these plates.

I was never a fan of Corelle, but I think now they should do an entire line for little kids!

4.0 out of 5 stars bought it and never used it, November 5, 2011

Such a great idea, and it looks like the government's new www.myplate.gov. However, I never use this plate! I stick with the regular plates and try to practice portion sizes. It's because I no longer eat individual items like broccoli or meat. I eat meat and vegetables but in more complicated dishes like casseroles.

5.0 out of 5 stars just perfect, September 15, 2011

The plates are what I was looking for. They are very well made and the portions are just right. The portions help us be mindful of the right amount of food that we eat during our meals. My teenage children like them too.

1.0 out of 5 stars child's plate, August 11, 2011

I had hoped to use these for cookouts and simple dinners. When they arrived and I opened, very disappointed, very small. I guess I should have looked closer at the diameter, I think they could only used as children's plates, otherwise to small for anything else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my toddler, but why is it now $100?!, August 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Corelle Livingware 8-1/2-Inch Divided Dish, Winter Frost White (Kitchen)
This plate is great for my toddler: microwave & dishwasher-safe without the toxicity of plastic. It's just the right size for her food & to fit on her high chair tray. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it looks like I can't buy her another one. Why is the price now $100?! Is this a typo??? I bought mine a month or two ago for about $8...

I have been a user of Corelle for 50 years and was just delighted to to find divided plates to eat my lunch. I often times eat at my desk and this way while I am pushing my plate around the foods do not mix. I have told many others about them.

These plates are great for keeping my elderly mom's leftovers in the freezer until reheating in the microwave. No mulitple plastic containers to wash - just one plate.
