I was unable to find extra platters in my pattern, so I'm glad Corelle makes the white available, since it can go with most anything. The best thing about Corelle is it does NOT absorb heat from the microwave like stoneware does. Corelle will be hot directly under where the microwaved food sits, but the edges stay cool. And it is lightweight (unlike stoneware and other dishes) so after you add the food, it is still manageable.

I happen to like plain white dishes. The foood looks better on them, and you can change the other table decor to suit any occasion.
This platter is good a size, and will get lots of use!

No matter how many times I drop this platter it just doesn't break, which is a good thing. When we put in granite counter tops and ceramic floors things I drop started breaking, but not corelle. It takes massive abuse, toss it in the microwave, toss it in the dishwasher, and it lasts a very long time. Besides durability it also looks nice. The rim keeps food from slopping over but the serving space is a nice size, the rim doesn't take up half the platter. I have corelle ware going back over 20 years, it's amazing.

Instead of having several sets of matched or mismatched dishes these platters serve as everything from snack trays to main course. I use them to hold TV dinners and craft supplies. They have been used to even feed the cat. They are in the cupboard and many times just go from the dishwasher to the table to the dishwasher.

Being white they have survived many houses and lifestyle changes. I have dropped them many times and all they usually do is make a ringing sound and go on being useful. Only once has one ever broken and when it did it shattered.

They have survived the microwave and the refrigerator. I have added to the stack down through the years and cannot tell the new from the original.

If you are just starting out in life, these platters can be useful until the end. However I have no intention of being buried with them. If glass is a liquid you could not prove it with these platters.

I love Corelle products. They are very durable and look very nice also. I have had Corelle dinnerware since I'm 18 and I'm now 47. They just last and last. I'm looking forward to getting a new set of dinnerware from Corelle with a gift card I have and will purchase the square dinner dishes. Love Corelle and have used no other dinnerware for years!

I have a set of Winter Frost White Corelle dinnerware and wanted a meat platter to match, so ordered this one and am really happy with it. Just matches all my other pieces, is very sturdy, and just perfect for plating large bone in grilled ham slices, juicy steaks, roasts or chicken. I've dropped my Correlle dishes several times without damaging them, and although of course not completely shatter proof, they are really made to withstand a lot of bumping and heavy use. The white of this platter goes well with almost any design or color dishes or serving pieces, is safe in microwave ( although this one is too large to fit in mine ) or washed in dishwasher. It is not recommended that it be used in the oven nor on the stovetop, and should not be too quickly brought from ice cold ( freezer temp ) to hot, as shattering may occur as with any glass type product. It is very sturdy though and heat resistant. Highly recommended product, and I plan to order a couple of the smaller platters just like this one to use for other serving dishes, as well as for sandwiches. Very pleased with this item.

The product is exactly what was described on the site. However, in reading the description and placing the order, I missed that there were three platers to the box. I wanted three platers, but ended up with nine. The others were sent back with no problem.

I love the Corelle platters (white). They hold a lot, are easy to clean, and are lightweight.

My husband and I are in the kitchen all the time. At least once a month, one of us will drop a plate in the sink or on the floor. So, we need pieces that will work for us (they have to be durable and functional) and they have to be able to grow with us (that means the pattern cannot be retired in 6 months). When we were at the point of selecting platters in preparation for spring and summer, we didn't have to do an exhaustive search because corelle was the only option.

Nearly all of corelle's pieces are products I would buy for others. (The company makes some mugs I wouldn't recommend.) This platter is no exception; it is well-made and a good size. In addition to this platter being a well-made product, buying this piece, in this color, has two other advantages:

1) The first advantage is that corelle has a lot of other pieces that come in this color. I bought a 34 piece corelle set a couple of years ago. As noted, I had reached the point in my life when it was time to expand the set so I purchased several pieces to expand and this platter was one of them. It matches my dinnerware set perfectly. You can also get serving bowls that match just as well and are just as durable. This is the perfect set for a family that is rough with plates and/or is potentially expanding. You will be able to find a matching piece and those pieces will endure through the years.

2) The second advantage is the white color. You can make any piece look as dressy or casual as you want by pairing fancier or more casual tablecloths and placements with the dishes. Many people seem apprehensive to purchase white dinnerware for fear of staining. You don't need to worry about that with corelle. I frequently use corelle dishes to reheat pasta with marinara sauce and foods that incorporate dark sauces like soy or teriyaki. My dishes are still perfectly white.

I really love corelle's products. You can expand this set to fit the needs of your family and the white color is perfect for casual dinners, larger family affairs or fancy parties. You have to be very, very brutal to your plates to get one to chip. I highly recommend this product.

These plates are wonderful, the perfect size, stack and store easily and in small spaces... they match everything because they're white. Easy to clean, are a real workhorse. They arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Thanks!
