Used one plate to prepare corn-on-cob in microwave. Everything OK. Used second plate to do the same. All of a sudden it just cracked jagged down the diameter of the plate. Isn't it supposed to be microwave safe?

If it was just the picture on the website, I might think it was just my computer screen. However, the box also shows a very bright blue mug and the colors in the plate too. When the box is opened, I found a lighter blue...not primary bright blue, more like a Williamsburg Blue. It is still pretty but not what I really wanted. The other colors are the same way...pictured as very bright but muted out of the box.

Another deceptive thing to note on the picture. It appears that the smaller plate is almost as big as the dinner plate. It is described as a salad plate...it is a bread and butter sized plate. I am not impressed with that. That being said the detailed description does state the correct dimensions of that plate. In a typical family-style dinner I really have no use for it. I would like a larger salad plate that is just the right size for the kids.

As others posted, I too wish the Memphis pattern would also be on the other complementary tableware. Lighter color issues aside I do like the pattern. I would only suggest that when one makes a purchase you realize the picture is only slightly deceptive.

I do like the Corelle name of products. With my kids learning how to set a table, I need something a little more durable. This will do nicely until they are old enough to be able to deal with china.

Pieces are thin and fit easily in dishwasher - jets can reach all surfaces, even bowls stacked next to each other in rack. If dropped, they stand a chance of survival. Great value and I dig the pattern.

In CR we celebrate Mother's Day on August 15th.

My mother wanted to have Corelle dinnerware in her beach house, mainly for being safe and light-weighted for her grandchildren to handle.

You can imagine little wet hands and feet in the kitchen looking for something to eat and taking plates full of fruits and cookies.

She is delighted with the pattern too.

As many others have said, the actual colors are much more muted than shown here, or on most other websites. The colors are pleasing, but more soft and subtle, so if you are expecting bright primary colors, this isn't the design for you. I've added a picture on the main product page that has a less vivid rendition than you see on most sites.

I have had several Corelle sets over the years and have been pleased with all of them. They are very durable and lightweight and one of the good things about the bowls is that they don't nest together in the dishwasher. Being thin material, there is more space between the pieces in the dishwasher and they get cleaner than the heavier set we replaced because the water can circulate around them more freely. The mugs included here are much heavier and hold more than the Corelle cups of the past that used to be included in the sets, a definite plus.

Shop around before you buy! There are great price differences in these Corelle sets, and you can often get free ship-to-store shipping with many online retailers.

This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for our daughter. She likes primary colors, so this pattern was a real hit. She is already using the dinnerware and is thrilled with it. Both the price and quick delivery were a plus with Amazon.

Very happy with the Corelle livingware set. Light weight, durable and I really like the mugs that hold 11 ozs and are pretty too!
Only complaint is that I would like the larger plates. This set comes with the dinner plates and the 6 inch plates. I believe the 8 inch plates are available for seperate purchase, however.

Corelle products are great! I chose this set for it's known durability, lightweight, and simple design. The only negative thing I would say about this set is that the cups/mugs are no longer made of Vitrelle.

As many other reviews mentioned the salad plates are too small, the mugs are heavy, and the colors are very muted. But, my biggest problem is how hot the dishes get. Serve a soup or stew and you'll need hot pads handy.

We bought these as a take-along for when we rent vacation homes and for that purpose they work ok, but I'd not be happy to use them very frequently.

I ordered this because of its bright and lively color. When it arrived, it was not exactly that bright and it was really dull. Also, three cups were broken due to bad handling and packaging.
