The 28 ounce bowl is perfect for Asian casual family dining. Great for soup noodles or rice. It's a easy to handle size (6 inch in diameter ?) and THICK yet not heavy to handle. The 2 quartz bowl is a great bonus. It's HUGE(13 inches in diameter ?). However, not as thick as the 28 ounce bowl.

Update: I love this set so much. I just bought 3 more sets !! Especially since I don't have to worry about whether there's any lead in the decorations that could leach out to food. These are made of glass so I didn't have to wonder the quality of clay being used. And the items are Made in USA.

This is NOT a pre-packaged set. All five bowls were wrapped in paper and tossed in a shipping box--just open stock pieces.

ALL of the bowls have BUMPS on the finish--bubbles or something in the glass. If you go to Walmart and inspect their open stock items, you will see the same FLAWS on the majority of their Corelle open stock individual bowls. I assumed that since these were in a pre-packaged set they would have all been perfect and that perhaps Walmart is selling seconds.

I called Corelle to get the scoop. Supposedly Corelle doesn't sell seconds. Well, yep, they do--they just call them first quality now. Amazing!

OLD Corelle NEVER had flaws like this! NEVER! I can only believe that quality control has bottomed out since Corelle has been bought out and become part of a large conglomerate.

Why is Amazon accepting this substandard merchandise for sale to their customers? Large retailers have clout and can demand better quality! Why isn't Amazon calling Corelle on this?

I purchased FOUR snack sets on the 4 for 3 promotion and had intended these as gifts. I am not a happy camper.

I will say that I have purchased Corelle Scandia White plates and Corelle Pink Trio salad plates individually through Amazon and they have all been perfect. Perhaps quality control is better in the Corelle plate division.

We usually use Chinese china bowls for noodles. However, they chip too easily in the dish washing machine. The smaller bowls are just the right size to replace my old ones. Based on my experience with Corelle ware, the bowls should survive well over time.
The larger one is just right to hold a pack of pop corn for movies. It is too big to serve soup or to fit in a steamer for egg pudding. I have to find more usage for it in the future.

Actually, the 28-ounce bowls sold here as the "smaller" bowls are large enough for serving bowls for a small family. The larger bowl is a HUGE 2-quart bowl, which makes it TWICE the size of the vegetable bowls sold as serving pieces with standard Corelle! TWICE THE SIZE! So this is perfect for large family gatherings such as those experienced at Thanksgiving, Yule, and the like.

These perform in the microwave and on the table just as well as other Corelle items do, and the 28-ounce personal bowls are thicker and of a better quality than most of the standard Corelle dinnerware!

The Winter Frost White set subsidizes most other Corelle patterns so well, too, without interrupting the flow of the table.

We loved this set so well, we bought two. :D

I already own two sets of these bowls and am buying more. I saw a review from a couple of years ago that said they are not pre-packaged and have bubbles in the finish. This is NOT my experience so perhaps things have changed. Both my sets, ordered at two different times, came pre-packaged and are finish perfect.

These are light-weight but durable. I have even dropped them on the floor and did not have any breakage.

They are perfect for use in heating cans of soup. Most other soup bowls are far too small to hold the contents of an average size can of soup. Not these, it fits perfectly and can go from microwave to table to dishwasher. I also use them for just about everything else and the large bowl is great for pasta as it will easily hold an entire box of cooked pasta.

For the price, I don't think these can be beat.

These bowls are deep and nice to use with noodles or cereals. However, they do not stack as well as the original Corelle bowls - maybe because how they are shaped? Still a nice set of bowls for the price.

Love the light weight and durability of Corelle. These larger bowls are great additions to the Corelle plates and smaller bowls which I've owned for over 15 years. It's amazing how my plates, after many years of daily use and abuse, still look as good as these new bowls. These bowls are simple but so versatile. Perfect for snacks and ideal for larger portions of cereal, soups, chili, stews, etc. Especially for my children who are getting older thus their appetites much larger. I will definitely look forward to using these bowls for many years.

Oh, I purchased 3 sets of these bowls at $12.99 each with free shipping (orders over $25.00) which was very fast and not a broken bowl. Rarely finds prices like this in Hawaii. This is truly a steal! Thanks Amazon!

If you too are a CORELLE owner or fan as I have been for many years and patterns, you MUST BUY this 5piece set. At this price $14.99 (eligible for free shipping too!) (as comparison, on eBay recently I bought the 14" white platter for $12 + $8 shipping... that's $20 for 1 serving piece) .

The size of the snack/soup bowls is perfect and the large bowl can be used for your popcorn - chip - pretzel bowl or even as a fruit bowl centerpiece for your dining table. Having bought CORELLE as a set (recently purchased ENHANCEMENT swirl edged & love it!) and additional accessories, I think you too will find this 5 piece set in WHITE is simplicity and will fit in w/ any Corelle pattern or other tableware set. Best of all, at $14.99 this is truly a STEAL for 5 piece set thats very useful and practical!!!

My husband loves these bowls. Finally, we have found big enough bowls for his cereal! They have been dropped and banged up and do NOT have chips or scratches. These are our best dishes ever!

These bowls are so versatile. I've used the four like kind bowls for serving all kinds of veggies, mashed potatoes for two, misc.salads, large helpings of soup, pita chips and dip, etc. The one larger bowl I've used for pastas, chinese food, meatballs, Halloween candy, everything. I would use the words: handy, practical, clean design to describe them. I tend to grab these bowls first thing when I'm serving. They are keepers.

I get some pretty neat things from Amazon at great low prices! Nice place to shop. It's on my go-to list for most everything.
