This review is from: - Corgi 1940's Batmobile Roadster (Toy)
Yes a 1:18 Corgi is rare and when they start out at $14 and shoot up to $50 I would say it was over priced, but the limited availability of these vehicles and the fact that Corgi is no longer producing these cars has made this an instant colletors item.
Corgi 1940's Batmobile Roadster $50 is not cheap but when you cannot find this car anywhere else $50 does not look so bad, as a matter of fact it begins to look like a bargan as the prices are edging toward a $100 a piece. Corgie also produced this car in a limited edition with the Batman molded inside the car. This had a production level of 4000, an even better find. 1940 Batmobile Roadster with Batman Figure Limited 1:18 Corgi, famous for it's 1:43 scale Batman cars with a figure of Batman on the chassie, (Not a fan of that) really steps it up on the few 1:18 models they have produced. With detailed engines and trunk both 1:18 versions far exceed the detailing put in the smaller 1:43 scale cars. If you can get your hands on one of these get it. Get one before they disappear and the price goes through the roof.
