This was for a gift in addition to a much bigger gift (race track driving lessons). It's made out of plastic and the doors open. Other than that, it's not really an interactive toy and doesn't have the same quality as a collector item. It is neat that the car is proportionally scaled to the real-life car. The plastic is durable and constructed with quality for the price. It wouldn't be appropriate as a stand alone gift for a teenager or older. But it was a great value for my purpose.
