I've used a chi and maxi glide in the past and this one by far is the best!!! With a chi or maxi I would have to go over the same area of hair about 3 or 4 times for it to get straight and with the Corioliss I only have to run it though once, it's amazing. I have very thick stubborn wavy hair that used to take me an hour to an hour in a half to straighten and now in 15-20 minutes I'm done :) I just kind of wish I knew they sold it on Amazon before I spent $120 on it at the mall, but either way it's worth the price and like I said it's better than the Chi and better than Maxi Glide. The only down to it is that if you use it on the highest setting your hair kind of gets a burnt smell to it, but goes away after about 15 minutes and smells like your shampoo or products again. Definitly worth the money, the one at the mall does offer a 2 year warranty on it though.

Like some others I'm sure, I purchased this product after being wowed by the kiosk in the mail. What didn't wow me was the $100+ price tag that came with it. So...first I tried going through several retail models, including two VERY high end Sally beauty store models. All of those iron's failed to deliver and were returned. So instead I went to Amazon and found the ShellyMae Ultimate Kiosk store, which featured the same product demo'ed in the mall for half the price.
I couldn't be happier. I have super fine hair that can't even remotely hold a curl or wave without being permed. In the past any effort styling was wasted when the style fell out in half an hour! This is the ONLY product I have found that can not only, curl, wave, or flip my hair, but can actually hold that style for not just hours, but 1 day+. The variable heat control is great, and it heats up QUICK! Unlike cheap models this iron has super sleek pivoting ceramic plates that ensure a no friction, even glide over the hair. The negative ions, and other features have even help extend the life of my hair color and cut down on frizz! I would HIGHLY suggest others to buy this product. Especially from this vendor! My product showed up undamaged, lovingly packed, in brand new, untouched working condition. The best part was it showed up 2 days sooner than the delivery date, which made me ecstatic.
The only reason I gave this product a 4/5, instead of a straight 5 is because I still experience difficulty curling my hair. Hands down this product delivers the longest lasting, best curls (especially compaired to conventional curling irons), However the actually technique of curling with a flat iron is hard to master. This is no way reflects poor workmanship on the product, to the contrary the corioliss site offers tutorials on how to style, which makes life a little easier. Again this being the only reason for the 4 being, as this was the other main purpose for me buying this product. Otherwise a WONDERFUL product overall!

I bought this straightener for my daughter. It worked incredibly well for a couple of months. It would get hot for 10 minutes then it would cool down. Drying hair became a long ordeal. I've tried contacting the manufacturer multiple times, with no response. I probably have a lemon which can happen with any product. However, the company has shown total lack of interest in contacting me. This is a very disappointed customer.
